On September 15th, ideal Motors announced Wang Kai as the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who is fully responsible for the R & D and mass production of smart vehicle-related technologies, including electronic and electrical architecture, intelligent cockpit, self-driving, platform development and Li OS real-time operating system.

From July 2002 to August 2006, Wang Kai worked successively in Ark Technology, Datang Electronics, Detection Technology (Finland), as chip designer, system designer and other positions. From September 2006 to October 2012, Wang Kai worked in Nokia, Finland, and successively served as a senior chip design engineer, human-computer interaction experience expert, sensor technology manager, and senior hardware expert. From November 2012 to August 2020, Wang Kai worked in Visteon, Germany, where he served as Visteon's global chief architect and autopilot director, responsible for the planning and landing of the company's software and hardware product routes.

It is reported that this is the highest-ranking executive that ideal Automobile has recruited in the past three years.

As an Internet car manufacturing enterprise, intelligent and autopilot system is the core technology. Previously, ideal Automobile has announced the launch of independent research and development in core technology areas such as electronic and electrical architecture, domain controllers and real-time operating systems.

At present, ideal Motors has launched an added-program electric vehicle, the ideal ONE. According to official data, the ideal ONE delivered 2711 vehicles in August, a record monthly delivery; from January to August 2020, the ideal ONE delivered a total of 14656 vehicles.
