Hanteng Motor randomly selected several employee representatives from within on the morning of Sept. 15 and held a briefing to discuss the issue of wages, the Daily Business News reported. After discussion, Hanteng Motor also told the media that the company has decided to guarantee that wages will be paid to personal accounts from June to July at the latest this Friday (September 18).

However, some employees told the media that there were still doubts about the salary arrangements to be paid by the company, as Hanteng Motor had said in early September that it would pay wages from June to July, but two weeks had passed and the wages had not yet been paid. At the same time, another employee expressed the same feeling, saying that if the company does not pay wages this time, they will jointly defend their rights.

In early September, a "notice on work arrangements during the introduction of industrial investment" labeled "Hanteng document" was exposed. The content is that after the high-temperature holiday that will end from August 10 to September 6, Hanteng Motor will again take an one-month holiday for most of its employees, from September 7 to October 8, and is scheduled to go to work on October 9.

It is understood that the reason why Hanteng Motor has frequent holidays is precisely because production and operation are facing unprecedented difficulties. The company not only defaulted on wages, but also insiders revealed that Hanteng's current operating funds were extremely tight, and even the production equipment in the factory had been used as collateral for loans. The arrears of wages by the company are not because they do not want to be paid, but because they really cannot be paid.

Some employees said that during the period from May to June this year, the company made an inventory of the production equipment in the factory, and then settled the employees' wages from April to May in a lump sum, which may be due to the settlement of the employees' wages after mortgaging the equipment.

As for the salary promised by Hanteng Automobile, it is not known how to correct it for the time being, but according to the check information, there are a total of 69 self-risks and 24 related risks in Hanteng Automobile. This year, it has been listed as the executee by the Shangrao County Court and the Shangrao Intermediate people's Court.

The most recent one was on August 5, when Hanteng was enforced by the court for failing to fulfill its legal obligations on time, with the subject matter of 1.7 million yuan, involving a total of 1.498 billion yuan in secured claims. Including power distribution box, lighting box, stamping C-line press, mechanical press, six-axis robot, double-beam bridge crane, Kuka robot, and powertrain assembly transmission line have been mortgaged.

Not only that, including 10 pieces of real estate mortgage data, Hanteng currently has a total of 127 self-risks and 69 related corporate risks.

From this point of view, Hanteng Automobile is facing a huge crisis, and the handling of the crisis will even affect the life and death of the enterprise. However, Liu Jiafeng, deputy director of the China Merchants Bureau of the Economic Development District of Shangrao City, has said that Hanteng did encounter difficulties, but the difficulties encountered by Hanteng are precisely the difficulties of the industry, not just Hanteng.

However, anyone who knows Hanteng knows that the company and Zhongtai are inextricably linked. Zhongtai Motors, which are more competitive in the market than Hanteng, are on the verge of "collapse", while Hanteng Motors, which has weaker market competitiveness and insufficient technology reserves, will undoubtedly face the same difficult challenge.

According to public data, Hanteng sold a total of 7683 vehicles from January to July this year, down nearly 70 per cent from 24979 in the first seven months of last year.
