With the continuous loosening of pickup policy, pickup has become one of the choices for consumers to buy cars. As the first domestic independent brand sales, Geely also plans to do a big job in the pickup market, its first pickup model arises at the historic moment.

On Sept. 19, Geely's commercial vehicle brand long-distance car announced that the long-range FX pickup truck was officially available for pre-sale, with a total of two configurations, with a pre-sale price range of 12.69-136900 yuan.

Remote FX is not a pickup in the traditional sense. The appearance of the use of a shield straight waterfall grille design, coupled with the engine cover on the raised lines and sharp headlights on both sides, there is indeed the smell of hard pickups. Remote FX and Geely Boyue PRO are the products of the same platform, and the chassis structure is a load-bearing body, that is, a girder body without a traditional pickup truck, which is the first time in China.

To a certain extent, it can be said that a warehouse was added directly to the rear of the Geely Boyue PRO, so many netizens complained that the car was "irrelevant" and that it was an insincere product. The new car length is wide and high 4905/1831/1713mm, wheelbase 2670mm.

There is no doubt about the interior design of the remote FX, which is basically the same as the Boyue PRO except that the logo of the remote car has been changed on the steering wheel. In terms of configuration, it is equipped with 12.3-inch central control screen and 7-inch LCD meter, panoramic skylight, keyless entry, one-button start, urban pre-collision safety system and other functions.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.8T engine with a maximum power of 184 horsepower. In terms of transmission system, the new car is the first domestic brand model with a 7-speed wet double clutch gearbox, and it is also the first load-bearing body + double clutch pickup model in Chinese brands.

Great Wall, which has long been in the pickup market, has occupied 50 per cent of the pickup market, with cumulative sales of 137466 vehicles from January to August, up 62.51 per cent from 84590 in the same period last year. Great Wall currently launches two major pick-up truck series, Great Wall Fengjun and Great Wall Gun. In particular, the LCD model of Great Wall Gun has become the main sales force of Great Wall Motor, with 11100 units sold in August.

Compared with the remote FX pickup made based on and profit Boyue PRO, it does not have the functional features of the traditional pickup truck recognized by consumers. As Geely's first car in the pickup market, it is obviously unsatisfactory in brand and technology, and it is really scribbled directly through Geely Boyue PRO. In contrast, how much chance does long-distance FX have in terms of product purchases and qualifications for Great Wall pickup trucks?
