With reference to the SMV concept official map released by FAW-Volkswagen at last year's Shanghai Auto Show, the front face of SMV still uses the latest family design language of Volkswagen, the Chinese net is integrated with headlights, the interior is famous for horizontal straight lines and wavy lines, the front is surrounded by a three-stage design, the forward air grille is trapezoidal, and the areas on both sides are substantially concave.

Although the information about "VS9" is limited, it can be expected that the front face design style of "VS9" is quite different from that of SMV.

In terms of power, it is expected that the new car will provide two power systems, 2.0T in-line four-cylinder engine and 2.5T V6 engine, the former maximum power 162kW (220PS), peak torque 350N m, the latter maximum power 220kW (299PS), peak torque 500N m. In terms of transmission, the car is expected to match the seven-gear double-clutch gearbox and four-wheel drive system.

Taking into account Jetta's brand positioning, with reference to the starting price of 106800 yuan for the Jetta medium-sized SUV VS7, the starting price of "VS9" is expected to be between 15 yuan and 180000 yuan, but eventually we have to wait for official confirmation.

The Jetta brand, the third sub-brand of FAW-Volkswagen, was launched in March 2019. At present, the Jetta brand has a total of three models: VS5, VS7 and VA3, with a price range of 6-130000 yuan, aiming at the 100000 yuan household market in which domestic cars have occupied for a long time.
