The fire accident of new energy vehicles has become a continuous concern of the society, including static state, driving state, charging state and so on. The fire accident in the charging state may be related to the quality of vehicle products or unqualified charging piles.

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau issued a notice on the quality supervision and inspection of electric vehicle charging pile products in 2019, pointing out that two types of charging pile products produced by two enterprises are not up to standard. the unqualified items are mainly "output overcurrent testing".

The circular shows that in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Product quality Law of the people's Republic of China, the interim measures for the Administration of Product quality Supervision and Inspection, and the regulations of Guangdong Province on Product quality Supervision, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has carried out spot checks on the product quality of electric vehicle charging piles in Guangdong Province, and the sampling and inspection work has been undertaken by Guangdong Product quality Supervision and Inspection Research Institute. This time, a total of 20 types of electric vehicle charging piles produced by 15 enterprises in our province have been supervised and randomly checked, involving Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and other three cities.

After inspection, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Bureau found that the two products produced by two enterprises were not up to standard, and the unqualified items were mainly "output overcurrent testing". The main purpose of this project is to assess whether the product can stop charging when the output is overcurrent during the charging process. The project is unqualified, indicating that the product can not stop charging in time when the output current exceeds the specified value, and the product will continue to be overloaded, which will affect the safe working condition of the product and the safety of the rechargeable car.

With regard to the producers and sellers of unqualified products found in this spot check, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration said that it will instruct the relevant prefecture and municipal market supervision and administration authorities to do a good job in post-processing in accordance with the provisions of the Product quality Law of the people's Republic of China, the interim measures for the Administration of Product quality Supervision and spot Inspection, as well as the relevant provisions of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration on supervision and spot checks.

Specific measures: first, to order producers to stop producing and selling the same supervision overall products, to comprehensively clean up the products in stock, to correct the sold products within a time limit and to take the initiative to publish relevant information; the second is to notify the seller to stop selling products of the same model; the third is to change the product packaging or mark the products that are to be re-listed after rectification and reform. Fourth, the market supervision department shall carry out regular follow-up and spot checks on the products that promise rectification and reform; fifth, the unqualified products and their producers and sellers will be recorded in the credit files of quality supervision and supervision, and credit classification supervision shall be implemented.

At the Global Wisdom Travel Conference held on September 20, the construction of the national regulatory platform for new energy vehicles was made public for the first time, and the status of the fire accident of new energy vehicles was also announced.

As of September 14, 2020, the national regulatory platform has been connected to 3.47 million vehicles with a total mileage of 162.3 billion km. Among the vehicles that caught fire, 31.4% were in static state, 40% in driving state, 17.1% in charging state and 11.4% in unknown state.
