According to the Beijing Auto Show exhibitors announced that the 2020 (16th) Beijing International Automobile Show (AUTO CHINA 2020) will be held from September 28 to October 5, 2020 at the new hall of the China International Exhibition Center and the China International Exhibition Center.

According to incomplete statistics, more than 300 new cars will be unveiled at the Beijing auto show, including multinational car companies, joint venture car companies, independent brands and new car-building forces, all of which will bring a number of new cars to the show.

In terms of luxury brands, the new generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi Q4 e-tron concept cars and new BMW M3 / M4 will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, while the new BMW 4-Series and medium-term revamped Mercedes-Benz E-Class as well as BMW 5-Series and Volvo XC40 pure electric versions will also be available at the Beijing Auto Show.

Among the joint venture brands, Beijing Hyundai's seventh generation Elantra, Nissan Pure Electric SUV Ariya, Jeep plug-in hybrid version, brand-new CC, Huieng, Tuen X, Tuguan X, Dongfeng Honda CR-V plug-in version and other models will appear at the Beijing Auto Show.

Independent brands including BAIC ARCFOX- α T, Harvard Big Dog, Red Flag E-HS9, Ola good Cat, Chery Xingtu VX, Lingke DC1E and other models will be unveiled for the first time, and the Great Wall Tank 300, Chery Tiger 8 PLUS and SAIC Roewe MARVEL-R will also be pre-sold.

The new power of car building is also worthy of attention. Tesla, NIO, Xiaopeng, Weimar, Polestar and other brands brought their products to the exhibition, among which Xiaopeng, Cyrus, Gaohe HiPhi, Tianji and Hezhong and other brands made their debut.

As a domestic A-class auto show, many brands are absent this time. Independent brands include brilliance, Bowo, Haima, Zhongtai, Lifan, Hanteng, Junma, Lufeng, Siwei, Cheetah and other small and less well-known brands; the new power of car building includes three car brands: Yundu, Aichi and Future; multinational brands include Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Renault. In addition, the ideal car also became a member of the absentee list.

At the beginning of this year, a sudden epidemic brought the global auto industry to a standstill, forcing several international auto shows to be postponed or cancelled. At the same time, the epidemic disrupted the development rhythm of the upstream and downstream of the automobile industry, superimposed the economic downturn and the market recession and other reasons, resulting in some car companies operating difficulties, facing the test of life and death.

A number of auto companies are absent from the Beijing Auto Show, it is not difficult to see that in the context of increasing market competition, unable to form a scale and without the maintenance of the capital chain, lack of independent research and development capabilities, it will still be eliminated by the market.

CCTV has quoted industry insiders to analyze and report that at present, China's automobile industry is in a period of integration, and China's automobile industry, like household appliances and mobile phones, will go through a relatively tragic process of integration. Leading car companies will have more competitive advantages under the scale effect. It means that the concentration of the market continues to integrate to the head enterprises, while weak brands are difficult to avoid the fate of being eliminated.
