AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/25 Report--
Recently, Mr. Shang, the owner of a car in Zhejiang, complained to the media that he had just bought a new BMW X2 that only drove the 1200km for a month, resulting in a failure of the handbrake, causing the vehicle's rear wheels to lock up and unable to drive normally.
Mr. Shang bought this BMW at a BMW 4S store in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province on August 5 this year. The model is the 2020 BMW X2 sDrive25i leading M off-road suit. On September 6, the vehicle suddenly appeared that the electronic handbrake could not be relieved. After many times of restart and returned to normal, Mr. Shang drove the car back to the basement. In the process of going down to the basement, the fault occurred again. According to Mr. Shang's description, in the process of entering the basement, the electronic handbrake failed again, the rear wheels of the vehicle were clasped, and the electronic handbrake could not be started and released. At that time, the vehicle was stuck on the basement ramp, and the rear vehicles kept pouring in. An accident may occur if you are not careful.
According to the picture provided by Mr. Shang, the central control screen shows "parking brake failure" when the vehicle fails, and the P light on the dashboard is on. After several restarts, the car barely drove to the parking space. Mr. Shang immediately contacted the local 4S store, and the other party asked to drive the vehicle back to the store, but the vehicle could not drive at this time.
On September 11, Mr. Shang, who came back from a business trip, contacted the 4S store again. After many fruitless attempts at the scene, the relevant staff could only remove the rear wheel of the vehicle and remove the handbrake manually and pull it back to the local 4S store at the same time. After testing, it is found that the motor fault of the left rear wheel parking brake is executed, but the fault has not been solved after the replacement of related parts.
Mr. Shang said that the 4S store later told the need to replace the DSC computer module, the module to be imported from abroad, the cycle is as long as a month. Mr. Shang also expressed concern about this, even if it has been temporarily repaired after the parts have been replaced, but there is no guarantee that there will be problems again after a period of driving, and they are brake-related parts, and the consequences of problems in the driving process are unimaginable.
According to the automobile three-package policy, "within 60 days from the date of the seller's invoice or within 3000 kilometers of driving mileage (whichever comes first), household car products have steering system failure, braking system failure, body cracking or fuel leakage, and consumers choose to replace family car products or return them, the seller shall be responsible for free replacement or return."
In this regard, Mr. Shang does not recognize the treatment of replacement parts in the 4S store, and put forward the request to return the car to the 4S store. But according to Mr. Shang, the 4S store refused to return the car and could only repair it and give compensation such as an one-year extension, while the BMW manufacturer replied that it had authorized dealers to deal with it and would help communicate and coordinate it.
Brilliance BMW sales rose 44.5 per cent to 61191 vehicles in August 2020 and 7.7 per cent to 373635 vehicles from January to August, making it one of the brands that achieved both sales growth and cumulative sales growth in that month, according to the Federation of passengers. Brilliance BMW, as a first-tier luxury brand, in the context of substantial growth in sales, product quality and after-sales problems are also particularly prominent. Previously, we have reported the coolant leakage of BMW's new 3-series new car, which involves a wide range of issues, but so far there has been no official response.
