At the auto show, the Harvard brand brought the Harvard Dog, the third-generation Harvard H6, the 2021 Harvard F7/F7x, the Harvard H9 and so on. Among them, Harvard's new entry-level small SUV made its debut, and followed the name of the recent new model "novel", named it "Harvard's first love".

"Harvard's first Love" can be regarded as a new generation of Harvard H2. As the third new car under the Lemon platform of the Great Wall, Harvard's first Love has changed the design style of the previous models, adopting a brand-new family design in appearance, the front face is similar to the third-generation Hover H6, with a large forward air grille, the interior of the net is decorated with a mesh texture, and the tail is decorated with the same through-through taillight group as the H6.

In terms of power, it is expected that Harvard's first love will continue to use a 1.5T turbocharged engine as its main force, with a maximum power of 110kW, a peak torque of 210N ·m, and a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox.

The Harvard H2 first went on sale in 2014, when the SUV market was hot. As a small SUV, the Harvard H2 sold more than 20, 000 vehicles a month at its peak, second only to the Harvard H6 in the interior of Great Wall.

Around Harvard H2, the Harvard brand has also launched Harvard H2s, Harvard H2 red and blue standards and other models, trying to build Harvard H2 series models. However, with the decline in product competitiveness, Harvard H2 sales continue to halve.

According to official data, cumulative sales of the Harvard brand fell 7.1 per cent to 762168 in 2018, of which Harvard H2 fell 49.91 per cent to 105363; in 2019, cumulative sales of the Harvard brand rose 2.81 per cent to 783600, of which Harvard H2 fell 63.04 per cent to 38942, replaced by models such as the Harvard M6 and Harvard F7. In the first half of 2020, Harvard brand sales fell 26.73% to 258188 vehicles, while Harvard H2 sales fell 70.03% to 2910 vehicles, which can be said to be appalling.

At present, the Harvard H2 model is on sale in 2018, and the update iteration is slow, gradually opening the gap with the same class of Changan CS35 PLUS, Chery Tiger 5x and other models. As an once-popular SUV model, Harvard also hopes to revive it in another way and enhance product competitiveness to return to consumer vision.

On the eve of the Beijing auto show, the Harvard Big Dog, a brand new model of the Harvard brand, was officially launched, with a total of four models-husky version, Labrador version, side pasture version and horse dog version, with an official guiding price of 119900-142900 yuan. The interior of the Harvard Dog is also different from other Harvard models, with a new instrument shape, a large-size central LCD screen and a similar return air conditioning outlet. In terms of power, the Haverhound will carry a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 169 horsepower (124 kilowatts), matched by a seven-speed double-clutch transmission.

In addition, the 2021 Harvard F7/F7x is also available at the same time. The Harvard F7 offers a total of eight models with a price range of 11.18-151800 yuan, while the Harvard F7x launches six versions with a price range of 11.99-154900 yuan.

Through intensive new car launches and "alternative" marketing, the Harvard brand aims to seek a sense of market presence and attract the attention of consumers. However, the naming of models such as "first Love" is also embarrassing for some consumers.
