In appearance, the new car adopts the design of the latest Ford family, but it is quite different from the current Jiangling Ford model. The new car adopts the design of split headlight group, and the daytime driving lights connected to the forward air grille adopt irregular shape, combined with the shape of inverted hook. At the same time, the car's forward grille will be similar to previous Ford models, with chrome-plated decoration depending on the model.

There is not much focus on the side of the new car, and the slightly square body and three-glass design maintain the look of a medium-sized SUV. On the power side, the Ford Equator will be sold only with a 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 221 hp. It is reported that buyers will be provided with a choice of five-speed automatic and five-speed manual transmissions, as well as rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.

As one of the Ford brands, Jiangling Ford does not have the better advantage of Changan Ford, and some people will think that Ford is not a pure Ford pedigree, but as a Ford brand, Jiangling Ford still has some of the technology and management that Ford should have. Thanks to this, the threshold for Jiangling Ford to buy cars will also be lower for Changan Ford to achieve brand staggered competition.
