Although Audi's Q5L Sportback model broke news only this year, Audi soon brought it and made its debut at the Beijing auto show, which just opened this year. It is understood that the Q5L Sportback unveiled this time is the global debut of the Chinese market, and it is also a long wheelbase model tailor-made for Chinese users and dedicated to Chinese customers.

As the Q5L Sportback model is sold exclusively in China, the special model produced by FAW-Volkswagen will be modified based on the existing Audi Q5L, so there is not much change in appearance. Continuing the mid-term modified Q5L design of the overseas edition, the forward air grille adopts a polygonal design with a honeycomb mesh design, and the familiar silver frame pentagonal heat sink can be seen on both sides.

The side is also the biggest change of the new car, the rear hatchback design will be adjusted to a larger tilt angle of the back design, similar to the Audi Q3 coupe version. The length, width and height of the body size is 4778mm*1892mm*1666mm, and the wheelbase is 2908mm, which lengthens the 89mm compared to imported models, which also makes the overall shape appear more slender.

At the same time, the new car also offers a deluxe version and a sports version of the appearance kit, in which the sports version removes most of the chrome decoration and is replaced by a bright black trim, accompanied by a wide fog grille.

Instead of using the common penetrating taillights nowadays, the taillights are connected to the OLED taillights on both sides with a high-identification penetrating chrome strip. In addition, the rear encirclement also uses a silver decorative strip that echoes the front encirclement.

The power part of the Q5L Sportback is different from the global models, after all, the Chinese market already has tailor-made engine power, with 40 TFSI and 45 TFSI on the tail mark, but both use 2.0L turbocharged engines with maximum horsepower of 187hp and 220hp, respectively. It is also mentioned that the performance version SQ5L Sportback will not appear, and the Q5L Sportback is expected to be released on the market in the first quarter of next year.

Although the current performance of SUV sedan models in the market is not excellent, in the era of popular sedan SUV, many car companies have launched models with better passability than cars and more dynamic models than ordinary SUV, in order to meet the increasingly younger and personalized market needs. Audi, as a major luxury brand in the domestic market, still chooses to derive the best-selling Q5L model in China in order to enhance the competition of market power.
