A few days ago, Volkswagen announced global car deliveries for January 2019. Volkswagen delivered 515500 vehicles in January, down 3.4 per cent from a year earlier, according to data. Of these, sales in Russia and Brazil increased by 10.9% and 10.8%, respectively, while those in China, Western Europe and North America fell by 3.1%, 4.8% and 8.6%, respectively.

The following is Volkswagen's regional market delivery in January 2019:

It can be seen that the delivery volume of the Volkswagen brand in the European market was 131300, down 3% from the same period last year, while that in Western Europe was 112200, down 4.8% from the same period last year, and that in Germany was 39300, down by 9.2%. The total delivery volume in Central and Eastern Europe is 19100, up 9% from the same period last year; and the Russian market is 6200, up 10.9% from the same period last year. Deliveries in North and South America were 38100 and 37000, respectively; delivery in Brazil was 26400, up 10.8 per cent from a year earlier; and China, the largest market, delivered 287900 vehicles, down 3.1 per cent from a year earlier.

Judging from the popularity of major models in various markets, electric golf has become a popular model in the German market. In the North American market, the new Jetta has become a hot-selling model, and in China, Lang Yi and the new Jetta have become best-selling models.

According to statistics, Volkswagen sold 10834000 vehicles worldwide in 2018, an all-time high for annual sales and a year-on-year increase of 0.9 per cent. There has never been an overall decline in sales in 2018, and there will be a decline in overall sales in the global market at the beginning of 2019, which may be a transitional period for Volkswagen's strategic adjustment. Volkswagen will launch eight models in China in 2019, of which pure electric models account for almost half, and the adjustment of Volkswagen's product line may affect Volkswagen's sales in the coming months.
