With the end of the double holiday, domestic car brands have released monthly car sales data, today Geely and Changan two car companies officially announced September sales.
Geely: achieve the annual target of 66%
According to sales figures released by Geely, car sales reached 126365 in September 2020, up 11.01% from 113832 in the same period last year. Bing's cumulative sales from January to September were 875472, down 8.63% from 958110 in the same period last year.
Specifically, Geely, SUV and MPV sold 43183, 79633 and 3549 cars respectively in September, of which Dihao sold 20196 cars in September and Boyue and Boyue PRO sold 20925 in September. In addition, Geely's high-end brand Lecker sold 18745 vehicles in September, up 37.70% from a year earlier.
Geely Automobile, as one of the leading car companies of domestic independent brands, its sales have increased significantly after the epidemic, but with the intensification of market competition pressure, Geely's expansion has also been hit.
Geely, which proposed to achieve its target of 2 million vehicles by 2020, then reduced it to 1.41 million, and lowered that target to 1.32 million in August. As of that month, Geely had achieved 66 per cent of its annual sales target of 1.32 million vehicles, and if Geely continues its current growth rate, it should have no problem meeting the remaining 34 per cent in the final quarter.
Changan Automobile: sales increased by 12% in the first three quarters
According to the latest data report of Changan Automobile, car sales reached 205543 in September 2020, up 28.65 percent from 159774 in the same period last year. Cumulative sales in the first three quarters reached 1370881, up 12.01 percent from 1223853 in the same period last year.
Specifically, Changan Ford sold 27730 new cars in September, up 32.64% from a year earlier. With the continuous launch of new products, Changan Ford ushered in a drop in sales. Changan Ford's cumulative sales in the first three quarters reached 167133 vehicles, an increase of 29.65 percent over the same period last year.
Although Changan Ford's sales are not very high, it is the best result to be able to change the decline in sales in the context of the downturn in the car market. Changan Ford products speed up the update and localization, and there are also slight adjustments in positioning, so the recovery of sales has been effective. The company has said it will launch at least 18 new models over the next three years.
Changan Mazda sold 14896 vehicles in September, up 16.11 per cent from a year earlier, while cumulative sales in the first three quarters were 94332, down 1.58 per cent from a year earlier. At present, Changan Mazda mainly relies on Onksera to maintain its sales system, and its monthly sales continue to rise so that Changan Mazda is expected to stop falling this year, while the newly launched Mazda CX-30 sales are not optimistic, showing a decline in sales of only 1977 vehicles last month.
Sales of Changan's own brands continued to grow sharply in September, up 40.43 per cent from a year earlier to 106189 vehicles, while cumulative sales in the previous September were 706559, up 20.94 per cent from a year earlier. Among the Changan models, Changan CS75 sold 25724 vehicles in September, while Changan UNI-T and Changan Yitou sold 10601 and 18481 respectively.
In terms of the sales of the two car companies, Geely and Changan both showed double-digit growth in September due to the influence of various positive factors.
