In response to the incident, Ideal ONE responded in an official micro-post:"At 11:15 on October 15, an ideal ONE test vehicle had a double-car traffic accident in Gu'an, Hebei Province, and the ideal ONE collided with the rear overtaking vehicle in the case of a U-turn. The rear vehicle head directly hit the ideal ONE left front wheel position, causing serious damage to the ideal ONE left front wheel position, and no injuries were caused to the two vehicles. At present, the vehicle has been removed, and subsequent incidents will be handled according to the normal road traffic accident process."

According to the statement, the ideal ONE broken axle is caused by "the rear car hitting the left front wheel position." However, a normal traffic accident hitting the left wheel will cause the ideal ONE to break the axle, which is indeed not normal. It is worth mentioning that, with this accident, the ideal ONE has broken the shaft no less than 6 times.

The first occurred in January this year, when an Ideal ONE collided with a BMW 3 Series, resulting in a broken axle. On September 7, a car blogger posted a video about the ideal ONE accident, in which the owner reported that the vehicle suddenly broke off while driving normally. In response to the incident, the ideal car release statement said that after the accident scene investigation and driving recorder playback, the user did not pay attention to the road ahead when it rained and hit the concrete flower bed in the middle of the road at 51km/h.

Ideal Car also said: "So far, all suspension damage of Ideal ONE has been caused by collision accidents, and none has been caused by quality reasons."

According to the data, 3504 ideal ONE vehicles will be delivered in September 2020, second only to NIO. Cumulatively, 18160 vehicles will be delivered from January to September 2020.
