AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/18 Report--
Qijun, Nissan's best-selling SUV model, has been in the forefront of the joint venture SUV for six years since its launch. However, compared with the other two Japanese giant brands, the same-level SUV sales are slightly insufficient, and the product power lags behind the former is one of the reasons for this.
However, with the frequent exposure of novel Jun news, the news about the realization of the model made in China has finally been exposed. According to the content released by the media "online car Market", Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd. will plan for the model P33A (new Qijun) project. At present, the project on the instrument system and exhaust system of this model is already under way, with an estimated annual production capacity of 250000 vehicles, which means that a new domestic Qijun is coming. It is reported that the new model will be officially off-line around May-July 2021 and is expected to go on sale as soon as the third quarter.
According to previous media news, the new domestic Qijun in appearance is expected to be consistent with Nissan's new Rogue (that is, the American version of Qijun). The front face still uses a family V-motion design, but uses split headlights, the upper light group integrates turn signal and daytime driving light belt, while the lower light group is the far / near light area, while the fog lamp is placed on both sides of the lower air intake. In addition, the new Qijun uses a trapezoidal middle net, and there are holes for combing air flow on both sides of the lamp group below.
The overall shape of the side is similar to that of the cash model, but the overall model appears to be longer and fuller. It is reported that the new Qijun in the body size will also be lengthened. According to the official picture, the new Qijun will adopt a five-frame wheel design. Compared with the front face design, the new Qijun in the tail is relatively low-key, using a more flat and narrow design, and all replaced with the LED light source.
Compared with the appearance changes of the new Qijun, the interior changes are relatively large, the central control and instrument use two large screen design, among them, the all-liquid crystal instrument uses a new UI design, and can display navigation guidelines. On the other hand, the central control screen adopts a suspended design, and there are still physical keys at the bottom of the screen. In addition, the gear handle has also been changed to an electronic gear handle, the function of driving mode switching can be seen at the rear knob, and an additional offroad mode is provided.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 135kW (184HP). The transmission system is matched by the CVT gearbox. In addition, the new car will also offer two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions to choose from.
Judging from the current market performance of Qijun, it is still strong, with monthly sales of about 1.6-18000 vehicles. This is also due to Nissan's continued release of terminal discounts in exchange for market share. At the same time, it can also be seen that Nissan Qijun model, has accumulated a good user reputation. However, there is still a small gap between Honda and Toyota's best-selling CR-V and RAV4 models, with Honda CR-V selling 153300 vehicles this year, Toyota RAV4 123200 vehicles and Nissan Qijun 115700 vehicles, down 28% from a year earlier.
What's more, Toyota Honda also launched its peer SUV Wellanda and Haoying this year to further dilute its market share and help the brand achieve a certain increase in sales. Therefore, before the new Qijun comes out, Nissan still has a lot of challenges in order to achieve higher sales.
