Dacia, the largest car manufacturer in Romania, was acquired by Renault in France in 1999. Dacia is mainly producing "cheap cars", so Dacia has always been famous for its pricing in the European market.

Recently, the Dacia brand officially released its new electric model "Dacia Spring Electric", which is based on Renault-Nissan's CMF-A small car platform and is the same platform model as domestic Dongfeng Renault, Dongfeng T1EV and Dongfeng Qichen E30. The new car will be launched in 2021.

Mihai Bordeanu, marketing director of Dacia, said in an interview with foreign reporters: "Renault Group completed the engineering part of vehicle production on an alliance platform, while production was completed in Chinese factories." It is understood that Dacia Spring electric cars will be produced in a factory in Shiyan, Hubei Province, which is owned by easyJet New Energy vehicle Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Dongfeng, Renault and Nissan. And Dongfeng Renault miniature pure electric SUV is also produced in this factory.

Easy New Energy vehicle Co., Ltd. was registered in Shiyan Economic and technological Development Zone on December 20, 2017. It is a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor and Renault-Nissan Alliance, in which Dongfeng holds 50% of the shares. Renault and Nissan each hold 25% of the shares. Today, Renault's domestic joint venture "Dongfeng Renault" has stopped production and delisted, but Renault's new energy business in China has not stopped. At this time, the Dacia brand has been put into production in China, which is expected to fully realize the sharing of resources.

In fact, the Dacia Spring is the brand-changing model of Renault. As a reference, Dongfeng Renault positioning mini electric vehicle has a mileage of 271km under NEDC comprehensive operating conditions.

It is not clear whether the Dacia brand will be listed in the Chinese market after it has been put into production in China. It is understood that Renault will put into production the Dacia Spring model at Egett New Energy and bring it to Europe for sale.
