AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/23 Report--
Throughout the performance of Changan Automobile this year, against the trend, sales have skyrocketed frequently, and with several new cars launched this year, they have successfully boosted the brand and led the industry. In this regard, Changan Automobile continues to strike while the iron is hot, launch the second model of the UNI series, and continue to improve the product series of the UNI series.
A few days ago, Changan Automobile released a preview chart of the second new mass production model in the UNI series, with the new car positioned as a medium-sized SUV. Although the trailer chart for this release is only part of the details, it can also be seen that the new car will be based on the Vision-V concept car that debuted at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show, which is expected to be unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and launched in the first quarter of 2021.
Externally, the new car looks more futuristic than the UNI-T model, continuing the "borderless" design language. The front grille uses hexagonal chamfer shape, gathered from all sides to the middle LOGO, plus "Y" shaped LED light strips on both sides. At the same time, the new model uses a small size but full-featured full LED headlamp design. Guess that such a design may become the future design direction of Changan Automobile.
On the rear side, the new car uses the popular through taillights, irregular geometry embellishment, and the design of a small slip back is very similar to the Honda Crown Road. The spoiler at the rear of the roof is inspired by the spacecraft imprint and arranged longitudinally, and the design is also one of the representative symbols of the Vision-V concept car. In addition, the new car uses the same family elements as the UNI-T, such as the hollowed-out design of the rear wing, the view design of a luxury yacht at the top, and a circle of black decorative strips around the entire roof.
Although the detailed drawings do not show the side design of the body, as the new car is positioned as a medium-sized SUV, more body space is essential, and the new car will enter the high-end market segment as a successor to the Changan CS95. After the model is on the market, it will compete in five joint ventures, such as Honda Crown Road, UR-V, Volkswagen Tuang X and so on.
After Changan Automobile launched the Changan CS75 plus booster model which ranked at the forefront of the domestic SUV model list for many times, the UNI-T, another blockbuster model launched by Changan, sold 10601 vehicles in September, exceeding 10,000 units in March. As a SUV that has been on the market for only 4 months, it can be said that the performance is outstanding.
Because of this, it has helped to increase the sales of the Changan brand. According to the September sales released by Changan Automobile Group, Changan's September sales reached 153039 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 31.9%, leading the industry. Changan sold 205543 cars in September, up 28.6 per cent from a year earlier, and its cumulative sales in the first three quarters of 2020 reached 1370881, up 12 per cent from a year earlier.
However, only relying on the automobile business Changan Automobile is still in a state of loss, and it has been able to achieve growth against the market this year, mainly obtaining three non-recurrent profit and loss items contributing a total net profit of about 5.275 billion yuan, which means that the growth of Changan Automobile's current sales volume is a good thing, but while the sales volume is growing, it is the real challenge to be able to achieve profit margin growth.
