Recall models:

Mercedes-Benz announced a recall of 355 imported Class An and B vehicles with production dates from October 21, 2019 to December 19, 2019, and some domestic A-Class and GLB SUV vehicles with production dates from August 17, 2019 to April 21, 2020, totaling 1510.

Reasons for recall:

For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the production of parts suppliers, the crimping operation on the turbocharger oil supply pipe may not be carried out correctly, and the oil supply pipe can not meet the sealing requirements. As a result, some turbocharger oil supply pipes equipped with 4-cylinder M282 gasoline engine vehicles may leak, and if the oil leaks into the vehicle bottom guard and on the road, it will increase the risk of accidents for other road users; in addition, the possibility of contact between the leaked oil and the high temperature parts in the engine cabin cannot be ruled out, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Solution:

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will check the production date of turbocharger oil supply pipes on the affected vehicles through authorized dealers. If it is the production date of the affected parts, the oil supply pipe of the turbocharger will be replaced free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
