AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/24 Report--
It has been reported many times before that the imported luxury brand "Genisse", which will return to the Chinese market, does not seem to have much practical action and listing news, which has greatly reduced the enthusiasm of many domestic consumers who are looking forward to the arrival of new cars. it is even called by netizens as "dry thunder but no rain" brand. Recently, however, Genisse China has finally released the news of a new car.
According to the news released by Denisys China, the GV80, the new G80 and the G90 special limited edition will be officially unveiled in China at China International Import Expo, which opens on November 6. However, officials have not disclosed the exact time of the launch of the model in China.
Genisse, an independent luxury brand of Hyundai Motor Group, officially launched related business in China as early as 2019, and announced that it would carry out promotion work in the Chinese market in 2020. Since then, Hyundai has established a new "Genisse Automobile sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.", which is also seen by the outside world as a sign of Genisse's return to the Chinese market.
At the end of 2019, Genisis also appointed Markus Henne as the CEO of the Genisis brand in China, responsible for all the business operations of the brand in China and fully prepared for the brand to enter the Chinese market. He Ruisi has held positions at Mercedes-Benz and its high-performance brand Mercedes-AMG, and was the head of the Mercedes-AMG brand Greater China, building a new sales network and business model for the brand.
In fact, Genisse is not without any substantial new car promotion work. In June this year, the fuel consumption announcement of three product models of Genisse was unveiled at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which means that preparations for new cars are already under way.
Information shows that the three product models of vehicles are equipped with 3.0T engine, the maximum power of 320 horsepower, divided into rear-drive version and four-wheel drive version, but the specific corresponding model is not clear. The three Genisese models unveiled at the Expo may be on the list of models declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In terms of specific models, the new Genisse G80 positioning medium and large cars, based on the third-generation rear-drive platform of the Genisse brand, was officially launched in South Korea on March 30 this year. Large-size intensive front-to-middle net design is a family element, revealing an exaggerated and domineering style as a whole, while the brand LOGO above the front further enhances the luxury of the new car. From the side, the new car has a slippery back design, and the sloping D-pillar is longer. The rear of the new car is designed with a split taillight group, which is still in the family style, with a bilateral exhaust design.
In terms of interior decoration, the new G80 interior adopts a family-style design style and uses a large number of solid wood panels and leather to create a sense of luxury, with a 14.5-inch suspended LCD screen above the center console.
In terms of power, the G80 is equipped with a 2.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine or a 3.5T V6 turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 304 horsepower and 380 horsepower respectively, and a peak torque of 421 Nm and 530 Nm respectively. The new car will also provide 2.2T diesel engines outside the United States with a maximum power of 210 horsepower. In terms of transmission system, the new car is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and provides optional rear-drive and four-wheel drive.
The G90 is the brand's flagship sedan, which is positioned as a luxury sedan, with a domineering mesh intake grille, a slender body and tight-spoke rims that highlight its high-end positioning. The car is powered by 3.8L V6 GDi engine, 3.3V6 T-GDi engine and 5.0L V8 engine. Among them, the 3.3T engine adopts double turbocharging system, the maximum power output is 375 horsepower, the peak torque is 510 Nm, and the transmission system matches the 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Genisse GV80 was officially launched at the 2020 Chicago Motor Show. The car is 4945/1975/1715mm in length, width and height, wheelbase is 2955mm, is located in medium and large SUV, and offers 2 / 3 row seat layout. In terms of appearance, the Genisse GV80 is equipped with the iconic diamond grille, the exaggerated area and shape are filled with staggered grid strips, and the design of long and narrow split headlights makes the car look fierce. The car offers 2.5T and 3.5T V6 gasoline engines and 3.0T V6 diesel engines.
Hyundai said it wants to build Genisse into an independent brand with a complete product lineup, improve Hyundai brand value and improve corporate profitability, and proposes to complete six product lineups by 2021, covering different segments such as SUV and sports coupe.
At present, new car sales in China are in a state of decline, but the growing demand in the luxury market also provides favorable conditions for Genisis to enter China. Judging from the current product line of Genisse, its main sales models in China in the future will be medium-and large-scale models, and the competition objects may be Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.
The domestic luxury car market continues to be in an incremental stage, so the introduction of Genisse also adds more possibilities. However, as a luxury brand with a short history, Genisis Motors joined the competition, and it is also difficult to get a place.
