Tesla Model 3 made in China is officially exported. Tesla officially announced that the Shanghai factory has launched a complete vehicle export business, and according to the plan, Tesla's upgraded Model 3 standard models will be exported to European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden.

On the 26th, Tesla held a ceremony for the export of made-in-China vehicles from the Shanghai Super Factory. 7000 Chinese-made Model 3 vehicles are ready to be shipped and exported to the European market and are expected to arrive in the above-mentioned areas by the end of next month.

Song Gang, director of manufacturing and operation of Tesla Shanghai Super Factory, said that at present, the Shanghai Super Factory has basically completed the climbing of Model 3 production capacity, reaching the first-stage production target and satisfying Chinese consumers, while also selling products to Europe and providing them to European consumers.

Many netizens have questioned whether the Model 3 produced by the Shanghai factory for the domestic market is consistent with the vehicles exported to Europe, and whether there will be differential treatment. According to official propaganda, the Model 3 for export is consistent with the models supplied to the Chinese market.

However, when Tao Lin, vice president of Tesla, issued a press release on "exporting to Europe", the expression of whether the configuration was consistent or not was revised several times and finally chose to delete the word "configuration". And such an operation will undoubtedly lead to more speculation.

The Shanghai Super Factory is Tesla's first factory outside the United States and the first wholly foreign-owned car manufacturing plant in China. The first phase of the plant has been completed, and the annual production capacity is planned to be 150000 vehicles / year, while the second phase of the first phase is under construction and will form a production capacity of 25-300000 vehicles per year after completion.

According to data from the Federation of passengers, a total of 11329 domestic Model 3 were sold in September, with a cumulative sales of 79908 from January to September. Even though the price of domestic Model 3 has been reduced many times, the current price has dropped to 249900 yuan, but the sales bottleneck still exists. This time Tesla launched the export plan, which is expected to further digest the excess capacity of the Shanghai factory.

According to the plan, Tesla's Shanghai factory will start the localization of Model Y models early next year, when Tesla's domestic models will be increased to two.
