In the end, Mr. Zheng said that he could only choose to bear the cost of replacing a tire and hub, and the maintenance cost of more than 140,000 was still not recognized.
According to the maintenance 4S store, all maintenance items for the vehicle are confirmed by Mr. Zheng himself. However, Mr. Zheng said that when the accident occurred, he did not receive any maintenance notice and confirmation, and he was completely unaware of the communication between the 4S store and the Xilai car. However, Mr. Zheng always did not approve, saying that he had not signed and confirmed it so far. In this regard, Mr. Zheng said that he could not accept the practice of "excessive maintenance" in 4S stores, so he put forward two requests: one is to pay for the maintenance of only one wheel hub and tire, and the other is to restore the maintenance vehicle to its previous condition. all maintenance items are not approved.
As for Mr. Zheng's statement, some legal advisers explained that it was reasonable, because when the vehicle was repaired, the initial quotation should be a tripartite agreement, which involves the maintenance company, the insurance company and the car owner. 140000 of the quotation is mainly aimed at a quotation for claims by the insurance company. When the maintenance company receives the report of the insurance company rejecting the claim, it should inform the car owner in time. And negotiate with the owner on the new maintenance plan and new quotation, and obtain the consent of the owner before the maintenance can be carried out. If the maintenance company handles it without authorization, the car owner may not pay the bill.
After this matter was exposed by the media, it also attracted the attention of the official of Xilai. In response to the incident, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of Lai Automobile, reported in an internal email that NIO had apologized to Mr. Zheng and said that the case should have been covered by service worry-free. Coincidentally, during the National Day holiday, some owners of the ES8 turned on autopilot on the highway, driving at a speed of about 100 yards, but suddenly the steering wheel suddenly turned left, causing the vehicle to crash into the high-speed isolator.
