SAIC GM Wuling "Silver Standard" the first model on the market! On November 1, the Wuling brand officially announced the guidance price of the "Capgemini" model. The price range of the four models is 8.58-116800 yuan, and the new car is positioned as a compact six-seater MPV.

In terms of appearance, as the first model using Wuling Silver Standard LOGO, Wuling Capitol adopts a new design language, the interior of the falcon wing grille is transversely penetrated by a number of chrome-plated parts, and the split headlights are matched with Wuling Global Silver Standard LOGO.

On the side of the body, Wuling Capgemini uses relatively straight lines, with suspended roof design and large-size wheel shape, which further enhances the sense of movement of the whole vehicle. At the rear of the body, the flat taillights are matched with the Wuling letter LOGO, which further improves the recognition of the whole vehicle. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the car body are 4875/1880/1700mm and the wheelbase is 2800mm.

Wuling Capricorn also adopts a new design style in interior design, providing black rice two-color and pure black for consumers to choose from, while adding a large number of chrome decoration. In addition, Wuling Capgemini uses a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel with a suspended central-controlled LCD screen and a 10.25-inch touch LCD screen. In terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with ADAS driving assistance system, including collision warning (with pedestrian identification), pre-collision automatic braking (with pedestrian identification), lane maintenance assistance and lane departure warning.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 147Ps and a peak torque of 250Nm. In terms of transmission, the new car matches a six-speed manual transmission or an analog eight-speed CVT transmission.

SAIC GM Wuling's cumulative sales fell 28.3 per cent to 502846 vehicles in the first three quarters, with September sales falling 0.5 per cent to 71318 vehicles, according to the data. Although Wuling brand occupies most of the market share of MPV, Wuling's profit level is worrying because of its low-end positioning and low bicycle profits. According to the data disclosed by SAIC, SAIC GM Wuling achieved operating income of 25.515 billion yuan in the first half of the year, belonging to the parent company with a net loss of 629 million yuan.

In contrast, sales of mid-and high-end MPV, such as Buick GL8, have increased significantly in recent months, while Wuling Hongguang has continued to decline. In this regard, SAIC GM Wuling officially released the silver standard in May this year, in parallel with the red and silver standard, to promote the promotion of Wuling brand positioning, and sales to achieve a rebound. According to SAIC GM Wuling's product plan, at least three global models will be launched in the next three years, including a SUV and a coupe in addition to the newly launched Wuling Capitol.
