In order to understand the specific situation, Ms. Shen called the official customer service of BMW 400 to verify the annual payment information of the vehicle. The other party said that if defined according to the date of production, Ms. Shen's vehicle should belong to the 2019 model. Ms. Shen through a software query frame number shows that it is indeed 19 models. According to the information, the BMW i3 "quick recharge version" is 2020, while the "quick recharge version" is 2019.

In this regard, the 4S store manager of BMW dealers said that BMW customer service can not represent BMW manufacturers, vehicles are not calculated according to the production date, but should be calculated according to the production and wholesale date. According to the after-sales manager's reply, because the new and old models are only different in after-sales service, they will be sold after February 26, 2020 through communication with manufacturers. And the vehicles that provide customers with "one-year free public charging service" belong to the "fast charging version", that is, 2020 models.

As Ms. Shen bought the vehicle for wholesale sale in June 2020, according to the BMW manufacturer definition, the vehicle belongs to the 2020 "fast-charging smooth version". Therefore, in Ms. Shen's view, if a car does not change from 2019 to 2020, it is more like BMW is clearing inventory with a new version name.

According to the after-sales manager, the difference between the "fast-charging version" and the "fast-recharging version" of the BMW i3 will include more services, such as free charging for a year, in addition to a more favorable price. In fact, for niche models such as the BMW I3, it has previously been announced by BMW to stop production, so that the model is in an older version.
