It is understood that the two cars are based on Volkswagen MEB exclusive pure electric platform, the new car uses a younger family-style appearance, interior design, and in the overseas version of the model based on the details of the adjustment. Compared with FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ, SAIC-Volkswagen ID.4 has improved the appearance of overseas models, which is different from FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 as a whole.

The front and rear of the two cars are equipped with through-type LED headlights, and the headlights are composed of 11 independent LED lamp groups, each of which can be turned off or dimmed separately, or controlled by a program. In the rear part, the detailed design of the two cars is also divided.
