According to Tesla's Chinese official website, there are two versions of the domestic Model Y, with a long-lasting version priced at 488000 yuan, with a range (estimated by WLTP) of 505km and a 100km acceleration time of 5.1 seconds; and a high-performance version of Performance priced at 535000 yuan, with a mileage (WLTP estimated) of 480km, and a 100km acceleration time of 3.7s.

According to the official website, production of the new car is expected to start as soon as 2021. There are overseas media reports that domestic Model Y may be put into production at Tesla Shanghai Super Factory at the end of November and be delivered in advance as domestic Model 3 did, but officials responded to such news.

At present, the market segment where Model Y is located, EC6 has been listed in advance. The subsidized price of EC6 is 36.80-526000 yuan, while the estimated price of Model Y is 48.8-535000 yuan. However, because Model Y is developed on the Model 3 platform and the two share as many as 75% of the parts, the final price of domestic Model Y may be lower than the current estimate on the official website.

However, as Model Y is developed on the Model 3 platform and as many as 75% of the parts are shared by the two, with the deepening of Tesla's localization, the price of domestic Model Y is expected to fall to 400000 yuan. With reference to the price reduction of domestic Model 3, the price of domestic Model Y has room for a reduction of 10%.

The mass production delivery of Model Y is of great significance to Tesla. Tesla's delivery target this year is 500000 vehicles, while the Model 3 and Model Y are Tesla's main models, so it is possible to deliver them in advance of mass production.
