Judging from the pictures of the declaration, Guangzhou Auto Honda's new all-electric car is marked with "EA6" at the rear, and it is expected to be named "EA6".

From the real car picture, it is not difficult to see that the new car is completely Guangzhou Auto Honda version of the "Aion S", the overall shape draws lessons from the design style of GAC NE Aion S, only in the headlights, front enclosure, taillights and other parts have been changed, retaining the electric vehicles standard closed intake grille. It is worth mentioning that although the declaration information shows Guangzhou Auto Honda, GAC NE's logo is hung at the front and rear of the car.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4800/1880/1530mm, the wheelbase is 2750mm, and the body size of the Aion S does not change much. In terms of power, the new car uses the TZ180XYA2601 motor produced by Nippon Electric Motor (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 135kW, which is consistent with the Eian Aion S630version.

In fact, Guangzhou Auto Toyota also launched a similar model for the iA5, the overall shape is basically the same as GAC NE Aion S, only in the headlights and taillights and other parts to make changes. Although it is a Guangzhou Auto Toyota model, but the front and rear of the car is also hanging GAC NE's logo, can be said to be a "low-configuration" Aion S. With reference to the manufacturer's guidance price of Guangzhou Auto Honda iA5 16.98-192800, it is expected that the guidance price of Guangzhou Automobile Honda EA6 will not also be at the starting price of 16-170000 yuan, which is higher than the guidance price of 139800 yuan for Aion S.

It is also easy to understand that Honda or Toyota chose to hang GAC GROUP's logo, and it is not surprising that as a joint venture company with equal shares of GAC GROUP, it is not surprising to import the technology and products of Chinese shareholders and use the brands of Chinese shareholders. However, on the basis of introducing the prototype car, the two sides will make changes to the original car according to their respective strategies and quality control processes, so the models under the joint venture brand can hang GAC GROUP's logo.

In addition, whether it is Guangzhou Auto Toyota iA5 or Guangzhou Automobile Honda EA6, these two cars are proper "integral cars", and the joint venture does not place much hope on these two cars. GAC Toyota iA5, for example, sold only 4802 cars in the first three quarters of this year, an average of more than 500 a month, while GAC Aion S sold 4728 in September.

Of course, there is no way to sell well, after all, as a "Aion S" version, not even Honda / Toyota LOGO, just give a "name", the situation after listing is not as good as Aion S is not surprising.
