The official retirement of Jetta models is that Volkswagen Group plans Jetta as its sub-brand. It is understood that the current Jetta brand has VA3, VS5 and VS7 three models on sale. Based on the reputation and influence created by Jetta models, the monthly sales of the first model VS once exceeded 10,000 in May, and then the sales volume continued to decline. At present, the monthly sales volume is basically maintained at 6000 vehicles, while the other two models VA3 and VS7 are maintained at the level of 3000 vehicles and 5000 vehicles.

First of all, VS5, as the first model under Jetta brand, scored four stars in the second batch of crash tests of C-NCAP in 2020, becoming the only model with four-star scores, with a score rate of only 84.9%. Although the reputation of C-NCAP in China is not very good, it is called the "five-star wholesale department", but in C-NCAP even five-star can not get, let alone go to the more stringent C-IASI test. Some netizens joked that the car that got the five-star evaluation was not necessarily good, but the car that couldn't even get the five-star evaluation must not be any better!

In addition, it is known from the vehicle quality network that Jetta VS5 also has many problems, including abnormal gearbox noise, gearbox crash, steering system abnormal noise and other problems. Because the owner of the 2019 automatic enjoyment Jetta VS5 complained that the steering gear assembly made abnormal noise when the car passed through bumpy roads, especially on potholes, and the inner gear rack collided with each other during bumps, resulting in obvious metal impact sound under the steering wheel when driving.

Jetta brand positioning low-end car market, there is no Volkswagen logo halo, also no Volkswagen doll style appearance, as a new brand Jetta, the main selling point is still in the price advantage.
