As for why they chose these two cars, the media explained that the Dongfeng popular T5L scored only two stars in the C-NCAP, while Mercedes-Benz smart Fortow got a five-star rating in E-NCAP, if the Smart could not even hit the popular T5L, let alone other five-star safe models.
