AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/18 Report--

Civic, as a compact sedan under Honda, has been replaced many times since its launch, and the latest prototype model released directly has been updated to the 11th generation. Due to the popularity of the current ten-generation models, the 11-generation models that have not been officially mass-produced have attracted much attention as soon as they are released.

On November 18, Honda released a preview of the eleventh generation CIVIC (Civic) hatchback. The new car uses a new design language, giving people a sense of a small Accord as a whole. Although the original Honda factory released only the Civic prototype, not the final mass production version, it is certain that the appearance of the new car may be slightly different, and the overall difference will not be too big.

As for the official launch date of the new car, Honda said it expects to launch a Hatchback version for it in addition to the general three-seat version, as well as a performance version of the Civic Si and the Civic Type R.

The appearance of the new car has been completely redesigned from the inside to the outside, which is very different from the current tenth-generation Civic, with a new intake grille, sharper headlights and L-shaped LED daytime driving lights. At the same time, black painting is used in many places to make it have a cooler visual effect.

The side of the car body continues the same sports ratio and lower driving height as the 10th generation model, although the body size is almost the same as the current model, but due to the use of the new design, the shape is more straight and the whole is similar to the Accord. According to Honda, the new design is designed to make the Civic look lower and wider than the old one.

At the rear of the new car, in addition to adding a spoiler to enhance the sense of lateral width, which helps to improve the aerodynamic effect, the shape of the inverted "L" taillights on both sides echoes the LED daytime driving on the front face. The lower bilateral double outlet adopts a flattened design and is embellished with a through-type black guard.

Although the interior drawings of the new car have not been seen, officials have also displayed sketches of the interior design of the 11th generation Civic prototype. The more concise central control design adopts a suspended central control screen similar to that of the Honda Accord, and changes the air outlet of the air conditioner into a penetrating design. It can be seen that the new Civic adopts the latest design ideas, which is more simple and fashionable than the cash.

In addition to the design, Honda also said that the new Civic will introduce a number of new active and passive safety systems, including: upgraded Honda sensor safety and driver assistance technology, new airbag design and its new body structure to improve passenger safety and protect pedestrians.

On the power side, it is not ruled out that it will continue to use the existing 1.5T turbocharged engine, and the gearbox is likely to continue to be Honda's own CVT five-stage gearbox.

Throughout the vehicle design of the eleventh generation Civic, it does not continue the exaggerated sports atmosphere of the tenth generation, which is also in the netizens' view, compared with the current ten generations of the Civic, the eleventh generation Civic has become more mediocre. Perhaps Honda's idea is to distinguish between hatchback and hatchback users, the hatchback will go to a mature and stable home, and the hatchback will continue the Civic's "belief".
