Thanks to the new chassis mounting system, subframe architecture and other connection points, the chassis is tighter and provides up to 50% torsional stiffness.

On the interior side, the new car features a brand-new interior design that is simpler than the current model, while the driver-centered dashboard incorporates a lot of technology. Among them, the 8-inch central control screen on the side has been added to the Starlink infotainment system. At the same time, the new car also comes standard with a limited slip differential.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a Subaru FA24 2.4L horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 231PS and a maximum torque of 249N·m, which is 15% higher than the previous model. In terms of transmission, it is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission and automatic transmission, and supports a new Sport mode for faster downshifts.

Although the new BRZ is still based on the old model platform, it has been significantly improved in all aspects and the power output has been slightly improved. It is reported that the new car will start production at the company's Gunma factory in Japan and will be sold in the U.S. market in early autumn 2021, and will continue to be introduced into domestic sales in the form of imports in the future.
