As the new car has not yet been officially unveiled, news of the new car is still very rare. But recently, some netizens have exposed the visiting photos of the two models.

It is understood that the two new models are based on the TNGA architecture, positioning A + class cars, can also be regarded as a small Camry / Asian dragon, power are equipped with 2.0L naturally aspirated engine. According to the official announcement of the two models are using the latest naming methods, respectively, GAC Toyota Ling Shang and FAW Toyota ALLION (Aolan), it is worth noting that both models are domestic special models.

Among them, FAW Toyota Aolan (ALLION) positioning between Carola and Asian Dragon, according to the previous exposure of the picture, basically covering the whole vehicle shape. On the front face, the design of the new car is very similar to the Carola sports version, using the new family design language. Large area mesh air intake grille, with sharp headlights on both sides, integrates more chrome plating design than Carola as a whole.

In addition, GAC Toyota Ling Shang has not changed so much. In addition to continuing the overall design of the Lei Ling sports version, it has only adjusted the lower intake grille, switched to more strip design, and adopted a shovel-shaped surround at the bottom.

On the side of the new car, Aolan is obviously longer and slimmer than the Carola, especially with a number of chrome design factors, and the wheels look large, so it is speculated that the 18-inch wheels will be used. However, from the point of view of the shape of the A-column and C-column, it is basically similar to the Carola, which confirms the previous speculation that the car belongs to Carola's extended wheelbase version.

Although the side and tail of GAC Toyota Ling Shang's body have not been exposed, according to the previously exposed Aolan's trailer picture, we can guess that the shape of its side and tail is not much different from that of Lei Ling.

According to previous news, Aolan / Lingshang's wheelbase has reached 2750mm, which is a little longer than the current Carola / Leiling wheelbase, so it seems that its body length is expected to reach 4700mm, and the interior space is better than Carola / Leiling.

As for the rear of the body, Aolan did not change as much as the front face, including the headlight group seems to still use the Carola style, but the most obvious difference is to remove the through chrome strip between the Carola taillights and replace it with a bright black strip, while adding the letter ALLION in the middle of the strip, similar to the Asian dragon design.

The same will be true of Ling Shang's model. According to Yuan Qicong, a car critic, Ling Shang's rear is basically similar to Lei Ling's 98%, after GAC Toyota named it Cameling in its original plan.

In terms of power, both models will be equipped with a 2.0L engine, which is the same as Asian Dragon and Camry, with a maximum of 178hp and peak torque of 210Nm, matching CVT gearbox, but smaller and lighter than Asian Dragon and Camry, so maybe there will be some advantages in power.

For the two models launched this time, it is not difficult to see Toyota's strategy in China. With the gradual acceleration of the "two-car strategy" of Japanese brands in China, eight years later, they successfully grabbed market share in China and surpassed German brands for the first time in October. Today, Toyota and Honda have learned Volkswagen's "one car, two meals" strategy, and Toyota has taken the lead in launching extended special supply vehicles tailored exclusively for the Chinese market, so it can be seen that copying Volkswagen's strategic plan in China will also boost Toyota's market performance in China.
