As the last A-class auto show in 2020, Guangzhou Auto Show undertakes the heavy burden of annual new car launches by major auto companies, which launch a number of blockbuster models at the auto show. The Chinese market, Toyota's most important market, also brought a number of new cars at the Guangzhou auto show, and the long-warmed "Aolan" and "Ling Shang" also made their debut at the auto show.

On November 20, FAW Toyota's new A+ class car, Aolan, was unveiled. The new car is based on TNGA architecture and is positioned between Carola and Asian Dragon.

From the appearance of the new car, the front face of "Aolan" uses a banner chrome grille, and the LED headlights on both sides are connected to a wide chrome strip. The rear of the new car draws lessons from the design of Asian Dragon and adopts the English logo of "ALLION". In terms of body size, "Aolan" has a length, width and height of 4720, 1780 and 1435 (mm), and its wheelbase is 2750mm, which is 50mm higher than that of Carola.

The interior of the show car is not open, but it can be seen through the window that the layout of the central control part of the new car remains the same as that of the Carola, and the color matching will provide a dark color scheme.

At this auto show, GAC Toyota "Ling Shang" also made its debut. As a sister model of "Aolan", "Ling Shang" is also based on TNGA architecture, located between Leiling and Camry, and its wheelbase is also 2750mm, which can be regarded as an extended version of Leiling sedan.

Ling Shang's front face uses a larger polygonal grille and the interior is a horizontally designed trim. The design above the front and the shape of the headlights are basically consistent with the Leiling sports version, and the Toyota LOGO is also moved up to the engine hatch. From the overall appearance, we can still see that the new car has a lot of Lei Ling's shadow.

In terms of power, the two new cars are equipped with Toyota 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, with a maximum power of 178hp and a peak torque of 210Nm, matched by a CVT gearbox. According to officials, FAW Toyota Aolan will be officially listed in the first quarter of 2021, while Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Ling Shang will be officially listed in the first half of 2021.

Since 2018, Toyota has successively introduced a number of TNGA architecture models, such as Camry, Leiling, Asian Dragon, Carola and so on, which have become the main source of Toyota sales in China. Data show that in October this year, Camry, Leiling, Asian Dragon and Carola sold 16607, 20582, 9279 and 29053 models respectively.

With the arrival of Ling Shang and Aolan, while filling the gap in the A + market and expanding the lineup of TNGA family products, it will also bring new sales growth to Toyota.
