The hatchback version is a standard wheelbase model, and the hatchback version has an extended 50mm for the wheelbase.

Audi A3L is currently the "entry-level" model sold by Audi in China. From the appearance of the exhibition car, the new Audi A3L adopts a new design technique, its large-size front middle net adopts honeycomb shape, the shape of the headlamp group changes obviously, and the recognition is further improved after lighting. There are larger front bumper air inlets on both sides of the front, making the overall appearance more sporty than the previous generation.

The side of the car body is obviously lengthened, which is the biggest characteristic change of the new Audi A3K made in China compared with overseas models. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4548 (4554) / 1814/1429mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2680mm, which is 51mm higher than that of the old model.

The new Audi A3L interior has been fully upgraded, continuing the overall features and design details of the overseas version, the new car is equipped with a 10.1-inch central control screen and 12.3-inch full LCD dashboard, and there are obvious changes in gear layout and shift design. make the overall layout of the central control area more concise.

On the power side, the new Audi A3L will be equipped with a 1.4T four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 110kw (150ps) and a peak torque of 250N ·m, matched by a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a 2.0T version will be available for consumers to choose from. As the 1.5T engine codenamed EA211evo has been confirmed to be delayed, it is expected to be carried in the medium-term revamped model of this generation.

The main competitors of Audi A3L are Mercedes-Benz A-Class (hatchback version) and BMW 1-Series (hatchback version). Among the entry-level models of luxury brands, Audi A3L is more outstanding. From January to October this year, Audi A3L sold a total of 67202 vehicles, while the BMW 1-Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class were 32304 and 56137 respectively. Audi A3L outperformed both BMW 1-Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

The Audi A3 is the only car with a standard four-cylinder engine and front / rear independent suspension, while the BMW 1-series entry-level model is equipped with a three-cylinder engine and the Mercedes-Benz A-class is a rear torsion beam non-independent suspension. In comparison, Audi A3L still has a more obvious competitive advantage.

However, with the emergence of more and more luxury brands and the sinking price of luxury models, the challenge facing Audi A3L is Evergrande. Of course, Audi A3L is also a regular change, replacement, at least maintain a good market competitiveness.
