At present, the charging piles installed by Tesla in China are mainly imported from the United States. According to the above documents, the background of the construction of the new plant is to meet the convenient and fast charging needs of electric vehicles in the domestic market, Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. introduced the third generation super charging piles. Nearly 650 supercharging stations (about 5000 DC charging piles) and more than 2000 destination charging piles (AC charging piles) are expected to cover more than 250 cities by the end of 2020, Tesla said on Nov. 6. It is estimated that by the end of 2020, the total number of overfilled and eye-filled piles will reach more than 7000, covering major cities and inter-city connections in the country.

It is understood that Tesla V3 super charging pile can support the highest peak charging power of 250KW. Taking Model 3 as an example, when charging with V3 super charging pile, the maximum mileage of 250km can be replenished in 15 minutes.

Recently, Tesla fell into a quality storm and launched two recalls in a row.

Tesla announced an immediate recall of 300000 vehicles with design defects in the front or rear suspension, resulting in broken shafts or connecting rods. The recall was carried out under the investigation of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Tesla announced a recall of 870 imported Model Xs on Nov. 27, saying the roof trim panels are at risk of falling off, increasing the risk of collisions or injuries among rear vehicles, especially motorcycles.

Driven by domestic Tesla, the market share of domestic new energy vehicles has been further expanded. With the domestic delivery of Model Y early next year and the development of more localization projects, Tesla still has the potential to expand in China.
