FAW Red Flag brand continues the measure of announcing sales at the end of the month and can't wait to release the "good news" again. In November 2020, Red Flag sold 25000 vehicles, up 100% from a year earlier, the highest monthly figure for the year, and sold more than 20, 000 units for four consecutive months.

On the one hand, the high sales of Red Flag Automobile is related to its continued launch of new products. At present, the brand has completed the market coverage of H5, H7, H9, HS5, HS7 and other segmented products, changing the previous phenomenon of single products. On the other hand, the impulse of manufacturers near the end of the year to achieve the target, there is a new high in monthly sales.

Red Flag has set a sales target of 200000 units this year and has so far achieved 89 per cent. Official figures show that red flag car sales totaled 178100 units from January to November, up 102 per cent from a year earlier. It means that as long as 21900 vehicles are sold in December, Red Flag will be able to complete the task as planned. Red Flag cars mainly rely on H5 and HS5 to achieve volume. According to previous data, the Red Flag H5 sold 7243 vehicles in October, with a cumulative sales of 51310 in the first 10 months. In July, Hongqi officially updated the H5 model, mainly adding two entry-level 1.5T engine + 7-speed double clutch gearbox models, while the medium and high-end models still carry 1.8T engines, but add 48V light mixing system. it matches the 6-speed manual transmission. At present, the price of the new Red Flag H5 is 14.58-190800 yuan.

The HS5, the main selling model of the Red Flag brand, is equipped with a 2.0T engine and a six-speed manual transmission with a price of RMB18.38-249800. It sold 10425 cars in October and 79071 in the first 10 months. For the medium and large SUV HS7, the mid-term modification was completed in August, with the addition of the 45TD model with 2.0T + 48V micro-mixing system, making the starting price of the car down to 270000 yuan, while the price of the 50TD model with 3.0T V6 engine remained unchanged. As a result, the entry price of Hongqi HS7 has been reduced by 74000 yuan, and the price of the whole series is 27.58-459800 yuan.

This year, the hottest model in the Hongqi brand market is the H9, which officially went on sale at the end of August and is powered by a 2.0T+48V light mixing system and 3.0T V6 mechanical supercharger at a price of 30.98-539800 yuan. Figures show that Red Flag H9 sold 2704 vehicles in October, with a cumulative sales of 6523 vehicles during the year.

In early December, Red Flag will also launch a large-scale all-electric SUV "Red Flag E-HS9", which has been pre-sold at the Beijing auto show with a pre-price range of 55-750000 yuan. The E-HS9 is 5.2m long and has a wheelbase of 3110 m. It offers two endurance versions: 460km and 510km. After completing the market layout of mainstream high-end products, Red Flag also began to make efforts in the luxury market.

In recent years, Red Flag has made great adjustments in brand image, product strategy, market positioning and marketing promotion, which has brought high growth for Red Flag brand sales. Officials also said that in the next 10 years, Red Flag brand products will be expanded to 30, covering more market segments, thus building four major product lines: l (supreme car), S (sedan car), H (mainstream car) and Q (commercial car).

According to the market ranking, Red Flag has surpassed Volvo in sales, behind Cadillac and Lexus, and squeezed into the top three formations of second-tier luxury brands.

Of course, Red Flag Motor is currently facing the problem of "sustained and stable" development, after high growth, whether Red Flag can maintain the stability of products and sales is also worth looking forward to.
