AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)12/03 Report--

In the first half of the year, the domestic automobile market was affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, which had a great impact on the entire passenger car market, especially compared with fuel models and new energy vehicles. However, since the second half of the year, the performance of the new energy vehicle market has begun to improve, and BYD's latest sales figures have also achieved homeopathy growth.

According to an announcement issued by BYD, the company sold a total of 53943 cars in November, up from 41295 in the same period last year, up 30.63% from a year earlier. Of this total, sales of new energy vehicles in November were 26690, up 138 per cent from a year earlier, while fuel models were 27253, down 9.3 per cent from 30075 last year.

It can be seen that BYD's fuel models dragged down the overall performance in November, but sales in that month were still higher than those of new energy models.

However, in terms of cumulative sales for the whole year, the total number of fuel models totaled 209802, with a year-on-year increase of 3.96, meaning that BYD's fuel vehicle sector has taken the lead in changing from negative growth to positive growth in this year's relatively harsh market environment. This is mainly due to the decline in cars and MPV driven by its SUV division, which makes it the only growth in the company's passenger car segment. The total number of new energy models for the whole year is 160848, which is still in a downward trend of 25.67%.

It is worth noting that according to the news released by Li Yunfei, deputy general manager of BYD Automobile sales Company, the cumulative sales of BYD's latest "blockbuster" model Han has reached 10105 in November, a record high. The monthly sales of the Han model, which went on sale in July, is now equivalent to an average growth of 30 per cent in the past four months, even faster than Tesla's domestic Model 3.

In addition, the minutes of BYD's phone call roadshow were exposed, referring to management's expectation that Han is expected to deliver more than 10, 000 units a month in the fourth quarter, according to Auto Circle event, a Weibo-certified automotive media. It is expected that the peak Chinese sales have a chance to surpass that of Model 3. And the delivery volume of the revised version of Tang has been between 3000 and 4000 units per month, and the order is stable.

It can be said that the management of BYD has great expectations for the company's Han models. After all, the only thing that can surpass Tesla's pure electric models in the current market is Wuling Hongguang mini. There is still a gap between Wuling Hongguang (20, 000), Tesla Model 3 (12000) and BYD Han (5000), according to data from the Federation in October.

Therefore, it is a real challenge to keep Han models at more than 10,000 units a month in the fourth quarter. Some netizens thought: "for BYD Han models, the above risk should be measured, not based on BYD's own delivery volume." After all, there is a big gap between the wholesale quantity of the model and the insured quantity.

In any case, with the trend of the new energy market gradually improving, not only BYD or BYD's new energy models, but also BYD will expand its sales of its models as the major car companies begin to rush their performance at the end of the year.
