On December 8, Xu Jiayin went to Shanghai to inspect Evergrande Automotive Research Institute and introduced a team of scientific research experts. At present, the post of president of Evergrande Automotive Research Institute is held by Fang Chi, former president of Dongfeng Automobile Research Institute.

According to reports, the Evergrande Automotive Research Institute has more than 3200 researchers around the world. there are 11 professional research institutes, including forward-looking Technology Research Institute, vehicle Technology Research Institute, Software Technology Research Institute, Power Research Institute, styling Research Institute, first vehicle Research and Development Institute, second vehicle Research and Development Institute, third vehicle Research and Development Institute, Battery Research Institute, Japan Research Institute, and Swedish Research Center.

No matter from the way Evergrande buys cars, the scale of investment in its projects and the scale of scientific research, or the slogan of 5 million cars produced and sold 15 years later by Xu Jiayin, it all reflects that Evergrande has "money" to build cars and enter the new energy expansion business on a large scale. It is expected to change lanes to overtake by "spending money".

Xu Jiayin concluded that there is only a simple sentence on Evergrande's road of building cars: "Evergrande needs to change lanes to overtake. To sum up, it is: buy, buy, cooperate, circle, big, good." He also said that with the help of so many leading companies on Evergrande's car-building road, it is difficult not to succeed.

At present, Evergrande's production base in Guangzhou and Shanghai has a planned production capacity of 200000 vehicles in the first phase, which is expected to be put into production in the second half of 2021. Evergrande invested tens of billions of dollars to build cars, and whether the Hengchi brand can finally be accepted by the market can only be revealed by the market performance after delivery.
