However, the data released by BAIC New Energy a few days ago show that the company has shown a downward trend.

According to an announcement issued on the evening of December 10, BAIC's total car sales in November 2020 were 1754, down 74.96% from the same period last year, while this year's cumulative sales were about 24900, down 78.18% from the same period last year. This compares with the latest wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles released by the Federation of passengers in November, reaching 180000, an increase of 128.6% over the same period last year, and there is a "sky-wide gap" compared with the 24.8% increase in October.

In fact, BAIC New Energy failed to achieve year-on-year growth in 2020, and the "falling" state has kept the car company declining by more than 70% for many months in a row. It is worth noting that BAIC New Energy was still one of the few car companies with sustained growth in the first half of last year. BAIC's EU series has been ranked first on the best-selling list of new energy, but it has been declining since the second half of the year.

Perhaps this is due to the decline of the new energy market and the gradual shift of the market from the B end market to the personal consumption market, which weakens the competition of BAIC New Energy in the personal consumption market.

Previously, thanks to the support of national policy, the rapid rise of new energy market, BAIC New Energy in ride-hailing, taxi and other areas of expansion, but now the industry has gradually saturated, leading to a continuous collapse in sales.

Some people in the industry said, "BAIC has a lot of sales volume purchased by travel companies, and the development of travel companies basically stagnated in the first half of this year, which greatly affected BAIC Blue Valley."

Judging from the overall performance of the new energy market this year, the top three enterprises with excellent performance in the new energy passenger car market in November all exceeded 20000, including 36070 SAIC GM Wuling, 26015 BYD and 21604 Tesla China. the top three account for 46.5% of the total number of new energy vehicles. Among them, the retail volume of new energy models has made a new breakthrough, Wuling Hongguang MINI retail 33094, MODEL3 retail 21604, the scale advantage is gradually reflected, and these models come from the personal consumption market.

Even the new energy sector of traditional autonomous car companies in the market continues to strengthen, including high growth in areas such as Great Wall Motor and Guangzhou Automobile Eian, thanks to the Euler of Great Wall and GAC NE's Eian series, helping to boost brand sales. And NIO, ideal, Weima, Xiaopeng, Hezhong, zero running and other new forces car companies also maintain a strong growth trend.

Of course, BAIC New Energy is also aware of the problem and will enhance the attractiveness of the private market in an attempt to recover lost market share through high-end brands. In October this year, the first production car of the ARCFOX polar fox brand of BAIC New Energy was officially launched. ARCFOX α T launched a total of five models with three battery life versions, with NEDC mileage of 480km, 600km and 653km respectively, with a subsidised price range of 24.19-319900 yuan.

However, at present, it seems that the car has not helped BAIC to achieve a significant rise. Perhaps in the domestic pure electric vehicle market, the tense differentiation trend of high-end brand models is already very obvious. The vast majority of market share has been seized by imported brands Tesla or new power car companies. As a result, BAIC's high-end brand ARCFOX polar fox is still facing greater market pressure.
