GAC Toyota will launch a number of major strategic models next year, including at least five new products, including Leiling 1.5L, Weilanda PHEV, the new C-HR, Ling Shang and the new Hanlan.

The first listed model is the Leiling 1.5L version, which focuses on carrying a 1.5L three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, and the price is further reduced, thus lowering the price threshold of the Leiling model. The new 1.5L version will have three models, which are expected to sell for between 11 and 130000 yuan, corresponding to a reduction in the number of 1.2T models.

The power interior remains the same. On the power side, this 1.5L three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine has a maximum power of 121hp, the fuel consumption of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is 5.1L/100km, and the transmission matches the simulated 10-speed CVT gearbox.

GAC Toyota Wellanda PHEV was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show and entered the new car declaration list of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November. In terms of power, the Wilanda plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a hybrid system composed of a 2.5L Atkinson cycle engine and a motor. Among them, the maximum power of 2.5L engine is 178hp, with external motor, the comprehensive power is as high as 306hp (225kW), and the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 6.6s. The official fuel consumption is 2.6L/100km, the battery life of pure electric is 63km, and it will also be equipped with four-wheel drive system.

The medium-term revamped C-HR of Guangzhou Auto Toyota was also released at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The new car continues the overall design of European models and will be officially launched in the first half of 2021. In terms of details, the fangs on both sides of the new car have become larger, and the cash fog lamps have been moved to both sides of the air intake decoration, and the interior of the headlights has been replaced with a brand new LED lamp set.

In the power part, the medium-term revamped C-HR of Guangzhou Auto Toyota will add 2.0L hybrid version, the new car will use 2.0L hybrid system, the maximum engine power is 146hp, and the battery pack uses nickel metal hydride batteries produced by Xinzhongyuan Toyota Automobile Energy system Co., Ltd., with a declared fuel consumption of 4.5L/100km.

Ling Shang is a new compact car built by Guangzhou Auto Toyota based on the TNGA-C platform, with a body size between Lei Ling and Camry. According to the news, the car will go on sale in July 2021.

GAC Toyota Ling Shang uses a front face design similar to that of Lei Ling, including a broken-line headlamp and a front enclosure similar to the sports version. At the same time, Ling Shang also used a larger front grille and added chrome strips, and the Toyota-branded LOGO was moved to the front of the engine hatch.

On the side of the body, the Toyota Ling Shang body with a longer wheelbase appears to be more slender, and its overall shape is still a standard hatchback. In the rear part, the taillight of the new car is similar to that of Leiling, with a black frame on the outer ring and a penetrating effect connected in the middle of the rear. At the same time, Ling Shang's tail logo still keeps the word "LEVIN" and adds the name "GT" to one side.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with the same TNGA 2.0L Dynamic Force engine and Direct Shift CVT gearbox as the Camry.

The new Hanlanda will be the most eye-catching model in GAC Toyota's obvious listing plan.

The new generation of Hanlanda model is the fourth generation of the car series, the new car is based on Toyota TNGA-K platform, the overall outline still continues the classic shape of Hanlanda, the details have been greatly adjusted, and the overall trend is tough style. The upper narrow and lower wide trapezoidal front grille is matched with a blackened middle net and flying wing chrome plating, which increases the recognition of the front face, and the design of the fog lamp area on both sides is also more slender than the current style. In terms of vehicle details, the A-pillar adopts a blackened design, and the side shape is similar to that of the current Hanlanda. The tail uses a slender taillight group, the overall shape is more square. The interior of the new car has also taken on a new look, with a large liquid crystal display screen.

The new domestic Hanlanda will mainly push the hybrid model, using a combination of 2.5L four-cylinder engine and two motors, with a comprehensive power of 240 horsepower, offering two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.

The latest sales figures show that Toyota sold 177700 vehicles in China in November, up 16.7 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, Guangzhou Auto Toyota sold 77400 units in November, an increase of 14% over the same period last year. The cumulative sales from January to November were 692849, an increase of 11% over the same period last year. In the future, the new Sienna and the new Harrier will be introduced into Guangzhou Auto Toyota and FAW Toyota for production.
