FAW-Volkswagen sold 1.8702 million vehicles in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 1.4% over the same period last year, basically locking in the top domestic passenger car manufacturers in 2020, according to the Federation of passengers. However, under the competition of market stock and the acceleration of product layout by independent brands, how to ensure the sales status and stable development of FAW-Volkswagen in the future is a key issue for the two leaders.

In addition, the recent shortage of semiconductor chips has led to the suspension of production by North and South Volkswagen. Volkswagen China said the supply of chips for some electronic components had been affected by the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, a problem that caused car production to be at risk of disruption, but customer delivery was not affected.

At present, a number of domestic car companies also rely on the parts supply of Continental Group and Bosch, and the outbreak of global chip outage also means that the shortage of supply will exist in the short term, and the possibility of collective production reduction or suspension of production cannot be ruled out. With the possibility of aggravation of the epidemic early next year, the shortage of semiconductor chips will be further aggravated. At that time, the product delivery of car companies, including Volkswagen, may have a certain impact, and the final performance will be reflected in the final sales.
