Geely, for example, announced a few days ago that it would launch research and development in Daimler. And Great Wall Motor, which is also the independent leader, officially released the new hybrid platform today.

On December 15, Great Wall officially released the "lemon hybrid DHT technology". It is understood that this is a new oil-electric hybrid DHT system, which can achieve the balance of high efficiency and high performance in full speed domain and full scene through the hybrid cooperation of high-efficiency hybrid engine and dual-motor.

It is understood that this hybrid system refers to the "lemon hybrid DHT" using a dual-motor hybrid topology, with pure electricity, hybrid, series, energy recovery and other working modes. But the architecture is still HEV (hybrid) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid); at the same time, there are three sets of powertrain, covering 1.5L+DHT100, 1.5T+DHT130, 1.5T+DHT130+P4, that is, 1.5L/1.5T engine (maximum power is 75~115kW), integrated drive motor (100kW~130kW) and P4 rear axle drive motor (135kW).

In the face of different consumer demand, the HEV architecture focuses on the low fuel consumption of urban road conditions and the instantaneous acceleration capacity of medium and high-speed road conditions, and the comprehensive fuel consumption of A-class SUV powered by HEV is as low as 4.6L/100km.

The PHEV architecture is equipped with 13~45kWh batteries, and officials say pure electric mileage can reach up to 200km. In addition, the manufacturer provides an 8-year 150000 km warranty for HEV/PHEV batteries.

In fact, the three sets of powertrains are powered by "1.5L + DHT100" and "1.5T + DHT130" under the two architectures of HEV/PHEV. In the PHEV architecture, there are "1.5T + DHT130+P4" four-wheel drive powertrain, and these sets of powertrain will correspond to different levels of products to achieve user choice. In the future, it will cover all the A, B and C-class models of the Great Wall.

It is worth mentioning that "Lemon Hybrid DHT" is designed and developed by Great Wall Motor independently, and has completely independent intellectual property rights, with a total of 199 patents, including 80 core patents. And this also means that with the introduction of the independent brand hybrid system, it will break the long-term monopoly pattern of the joint venture brand in the hybrid field.

Let's not say whether this hybrid system is better than the joint venture brand, but the research and development of the hybrid system technology of the independent brand also reflects a great achievement of the independent brand in the automotive field, which will further promote the development of Great Wall or the independent brand.

In July this year, Great Wall launched three new technology brands: the new modular model platform, the lemon platform, the professional off-road platform, the tank platform, and the new intelligent platform, the coffee platform. It is understood that the three major technology platforms are all created by the global market and group technology of Great Wall Automotive. With the release of new platforms and new cars, it will also become the basis for the development of Great Wall Automotive globalization.

Thanks to the launch of the latest platform, it also makes a number of dark horses stand out from the subdivision. According to the official sales figures released by Great Wall Motor a few days ago, November sales figures have increased again. Data show that Great Wall Motor sold 145240 new cars in November, up 26% from the same period last year and 7% from the previous month. So far, Great Wall Motor has sold 961489 new cars in the first 11 months of this year, only one step away from millions.
