AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)12/16 Report--

Mazda has been recalled again! Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. announced that it will recall CX-30 and Onksera models from now on, according to the official website of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration.

The specific models involved include some MAZDA CX-30 and next-generation MAZDA3 Oncella (2.0L) cars produced between July 26, 2020 and September 26, 2020, with a total of 5664 vehicles.

The weak sealing of the water pipe may lead to the leakage of antifreeze. The recall notice said that the vehicles within the scope of the recall, due to the supplier in the engine water pipe seat production process of poor pressure on the water pipe seat, resulting in poor sealing of the water pipe seat, antifreeze may seep out. When the vehicle encounters a large vibration, the water pipe will protrude from the water pipe seat, and the antifreeze will produce water fog when it touches the high-temperature parts in the engine cabin, which may affect the driver's line of sight and cause safety risks.

The solution is that Changan Mazda will eliminate safety risks by authorizing dealers to replace improved water pipe seats for vehicles within the recall area free of charge.

The recall is for the newly launched CX-30 and Onksera models. Mazda has conducted a round of recalls on a number of its models in China because of defective fuel pumps.

In September 2019, Changan Mazda recalled 77112 CX-5 vehicles.

In September 2020, Changan Mazda recalled 26444 Unksera cars manufactured from September 13, 2018 to August 30, 2019, and 2690 partial CX-8 vehicles produced from October 14, 2018 to May 15, 2020.

In October 2020, a total of 16792 domestic Mazda 6 Atez cars were recalled.

The above recall problems are related to fuel pumps produced by Denso companies. Due to the insufficient density of the impeller inside the low-pressure fuel pump core (made of resin), the impeller expands and deforms due to the influence of fuel, and interferes with the fuel pump shell and pump cover, resulting in poor operation of the low-pressure fuel pump core. In some cases, the vehicle may fail to start or the engine may stall while the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, the manufacturer replaces the improved low pressure fuel pump core for the vehicle free of charge.

In addition to the defect recall, Mazda has also run into quality problems in China, including the "abnormal sound door" incident of FAW Mazda models.

According to data released by Mazda China, brand sales in China in November were 18727, down 13.44 per cent from a year earlier, down 13.44 per cent from January to November to 191737, down 5.67 per cent from a year earlier. Whether Mazda can achieve an increase in sales depends on whether FAW Mazda can be improved. In November, FAW Mazda sold a total of 69331 units, down 14.4% from a year earlier. Perhaps the development of Mazda in China will be really accelerated by solving the quality problem.
