Four models will be pre-sold at the head, but the pre-price has not been announced, and the new car may go on sale in January next year.

Recently, the pre-price of the suspected Leiling 1.5L version was exposed in a Guangzhou Automobile Toyota dealer. As can be seen from the picture, its vehicle guidance price starts at 113800 yuan, which is 2000 yuan cheaper than the 1.2T version currently on sale, and the dealer also gives a discount of 10,000 yuan. The opening price is 103800 yuan, plus taxes, insurance, license fees and handling fees, and finally landed at about 119500 yuan.

However, according to the latest news from Guangzhou Auto Toyota, the new Leiling will cancel the 1.2T model with a price of 115800 yuan, that is, the starting price of the new Leiling will be adjusted to 129800 yuan, and the newly added 1.5L version will make up for the market space of this price. and the price has sunk, or make concessions for the development of the three-cylinder engine market.

There is no obvious difference between the new Leiling and the current model on sale, it is still a black medium grid design, the style of the front face is more than that of the previous generation, the front fender is raised on both sides, and the headlights become barb style. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4640 mm, 1780 mm and 1435 (1455), respectively, and the wheelbase is 2700mm. As for the interior, the new Leiling will not change much and will still maintain the overall design of the current model, and will be available in three different versions: 8-inch, 9-inch and 12.1-inch according to the configuration.

According to the information declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine maximum power 89kw, code-named M15C, matches the simulated 10-speed CVT gearbox. Judging from the power output of this car, it is still slightly better than the current 1.2T four-cylinder turbocharging.

Recently, some media reported that Toyota 1.5L three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine has been officially put into production and will take the lead in Leiling and Carola models in the future, power performance is not expected to have a large gap.

Although Toyota's sales volume in the domestic market continues to grow, and is expected to win the top sales of Japanese brands this year, Toyota does not show obvious confidence in the face of domestic consumer resistance to the three-cylinder model. In the short term, it will not use 1.5L three-cylinder natural suction instead of 1.2T four-cylinder turbocharging, but reduce the 1.2T product lineup, add 1.5L models and sink the price.

Sales figures show that FAW Toyota Corolane sold 311094 vehicles, while Guangzhou Auto Toyota Leiling sold 200954 vehicles. These two models are the main sales models under their respective brands, and now plans to launch three-cylinder models, which will bring about a drop in prices, making it difficult to predict the performance of the market after their launch.

However, take Buick Yinglang as an example, the Yinglong model also chose to carry a three-cylinder engine at the peak of sales, and then sales fell sharply, even though there was a large discount in the end market, it was still difficult to resist the continued decline in sales. It was not until this year that Yinglang launched four-cylinder models that sales increased steadily and once surpassed Carola, Suiteng and other models. It can be speculated that even if Toyota makes a compromise on the price, it is still difficult for consumers to accept the disadvantages brought by the three-cylinder engine, and the development may not be as optimistic as expected.
