Insiders said that "the sales target set by Chairman Xu Liuping for the red flag needs to be matched by its production capacity", and now the annual production of 200000 vehicles has been achieved first, which means that the sales performance of 200000 vehicles will also be achieved in the near future.
In the second half of this year, two red flag new cars that attracted much market attention were put on the market. The Hongqi H9, a medium and large sedan, went on sale on August 23. the new car is the seventh mass-produced model under FAW Hongqi, with a guiding price of 30.98-539800 yuan. It is the most expensive traditional fuel model under Hongqi and even in China. It is mainly aimed at luxury brands such as Audi A6L, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series.

The latest data from the China Automobile Association show that among the top 15 enterprise groups in China's brand passenger car sales from January to November 2020, FAW Group sold 252000 vehicles, ranking eighth among its own brands, but the 22.9% growth rate has become a highlight in the list. Although the market share of Chinese brand passenger cars fell to 37.7% in the previous November, some brands, such as Red Flag and Chang'an, are growing against the market.
At the end of last year, FAW Red Flag announced that it had successfully completed its annual sales target of 100000 vehicles, an increase of 203% to 100016 vehicles over the same period last year, and set a sales target of 200000 vehicles in 2020. At that time, many people in the industry questioned the goal of Red Flag, especially this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, several mainstream car companies reduced their sales targets, but FAW Red Flag did not seem to be affected, but achieved considerable growth.
Of course, many media have questioned that the counter-market growth of Red Flag sales has a lot to do with government procurement, T3 travel and large purchases in the car rental market. Red Flag officials have also responded that Red Flag's current retail sales accounted for 95.7%, government procurement was 3.4%, and travel was only 0.9%. We don't know whether the official figures are true or false, but more and more products are seeing red flags on the road.
In order to make the red flag brand achieve better development, the red flag brand will plan to launch more models to boost brand sales. According to the strategic plan of FAW Hongqi, it plans to form 21 new products covering L (supreme car), S (sedan car), H (mainstream car) and Q (commercial car) in the next five years.
According to the newly revised target this year, FAW Red Flag has a sales target of 200000 vehicles in 2020, and aims to double this year's sales target (400000 vehicles) in 2021, 50-600000 vehicles in 2022 and 70-800000 vehicles in 2025.
Generally speaking, although the performance of FAW Red Flag is relatively bright at present, there are still many shortcomings. Although FAW Red Flag is a high-end automobile brand directly operated by FAW Group, most consumers do not recognize its high-end brand image. However, as long as it can meet the consumer demand of the market and provide consumers with more high-quality products and services, I believe that Red Flag brand should not be popular only at present.
