The side shape of the car body remains the same, and the design of the two-color body and the electroplated trim makes the whole vehicle more recognizable. The rear part also follows the design of the cash model, while the external spare tire is still retained.

At present, the body parameters of the new model have not been announced, as a reference, the current BYD yuan EV in terms of body size, length, width and height are 4350mm/1785mm/1680mm, wheelbase is 2535mm.

In terms of power, depending on the configuration, it will be equipped with a maximum power of 163 horsepower or 95 horsepower drive motors. In terms of battery life, the new car offers two kinds of NEDC integrated mileage: 305km and 410km. It is reported that the new car will also be replaced with lithium iron phosphate blade batteries. The current price of BYD yuan EV is 8.99-139900 yuan.

Sales data show that BYD Yuan New Energy sold 15012 vehicles from January to November 2020. In 2019, cumulative sales of the car were 61900. It can be seen that the current sales of BYD yuan models have declined significantly.
