As 2020 has passed, the unfavored new power car companies have walked out of a more beautiful trend in the past year. It can be seen from the latest sales reports of NIO Automobile, Xiaopeng Automobile and ideal Automobile, which are the new power of the head.

Although at the beginning of 2020, the global new car market suffered an unprecedented contraction of the new energy market and the impact of the epidemic, resulting in a new low in the new energy vehicle market, thanks to the effective control of the epidemic, the overall car market began to grow steadily. Coupled with the obvious release of consumer demand in the second half of the year, the growth rate of the new energy vehicle market for personal consumption is more obvious, helping to increase many new power car companies. Among them, the three brothers of the new power benefited the most.

In terms of the sales reported by the three companies, the largest sales volume is still the earliest Lai car on the market, followed by the ideal car, which was delivered in December last year, followed by Xiaopeng. Judging from the sales volume of the three car companies, NIO is still far ahead.

According to the corresponding data released by Xilai, a total of 7007 new cars were delivered in December 2020, an increase of 121 per cent over the same period last year. This is the first time that Lulai's monthly sales have exceeded 7000 vehicles, with an annual sales increase of about 112.6 per cent over the same period last year.

In terms of specific models, NIO has the largest number of models among the three car companies, and sales support mainly lies in ES6 models, while sales of ES8 and EC6 are relatively low. It is worth noting that in December, the EC6 surpassed the ES6, of which the EC6 delivered 2505 vehicles, compared with 1518 last month, a marked increase, surpassing the 2493 ES6 delivered in December. With the release of EC6 production, it will also become a supporting model.

It is worth mentioning that Xilai officially announced today that the first flagship car will be officially released in NIO Day 2020.

Xiaopeng Automobile, as a brand listed on the market later, its sales volume is also far behind that of NIO, and even has a large gap with the ideal car. In terms of specific sales, Xiaopeng's December 2020 sales data show that Xiaopeng's total delivery volume in December was 5700, an increase of 326% over the same period last year, an all-time high. A total of 27041 vehicles were delivered for the whole year, an increase of 112% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was close to that of Xilai Motors.

Xiaopeng, which currently has two models, has also surpassed the first model, the G3, after the release of sales of the new model P7. In December, the monthly delivery volume of Xiaopeng P7 was 3691 and that of Xiaopeng G3 was 2009, both of which reached a new high in 2020. However, the proportion of sales is still large in the G3, of which the P7 delivered a total of 8527 vehicles for the whole year, but due to the launch of the model not long ago.

Compared with the other two new forces, the performance of ideal car is obviously much better. Relying on its gas-electric hybrid ideal ONE alone, it achieved a sales score of 32624 vehicles for the whole year, second only to NIO and much higher than Xiaopeng Motor, which made it successfully enter the first echelon. Among them, the ideal ONE delivered 6126 vehicles in December, an increase of 31.9% month-on-month and 529.6% over the same period last year, setting a new monthly delivery record.

In addition, the ideal car in the initial sales data, but also "suspected" announced new car plans. At the bottom of the manuscript for the latest delivery data of ideal car, fans left messages asking for information about the new model of ideal car, and the official response of ideal car was: full-size SUV in 2022, or add-on.

Judging from the overall performance of the three new forces, all reached new highs, but from the comparison of the sales volume of the three car companies, Tesla, who is also a new power car company, has a clear gap, even if the three car companies add up to only about 25% of Tesla's. Statistics show that in 2020, Tesla actually delivered 499500 vehicles, with a shortfall of only 500000. Obviously, compared with Tesla's sales scale, the above three new car-building forces are hardly of an "order of magnitude".

Today's sales are far less than Tesla, but it will also encounter a new round of impact of the Tesla brand. Tesla officially cut the price of its models on January 1, and the prices of the models after the reduction were all lower than those of the three competing models of the new power.

In the face of such competition, Xilai and Xiaopeng showed great optimism. Among them, Li Bin, chairman of Xilai, said in NIO that Tesla Model Y had no impact on Xilai, and there had been no major change in the order volume in the past two days. Tesla continued to reduce prices, Li Bin said that this is related to the pricing strategy of the enterprise. Even Li Bin felt that Tesla's price reduction was even higher than he had expected.

He Xiaopeng, CEO of Xiaopeng Automobile, believes that we are quite confident about the price reduction of competitors in New Year's Day this time. We did not even open an internal phone call, and the data fully prove that price reduction has proved to be only a way of marketing, and it must be a double-edged sword.

As for the impact of Tesla's price reduction on new forces or car models, it will be revealed in the performance of the new year.
