It is decided to recall 309 KX3 pure electric vehicles produced between October 23,2018 and March 29,2019 from January 22,2021.

When the IEB (Integrated Electronic Brake) motor of the vehicle within the scope of this recall outputs abnormal signals, the normal operation of the motor cannot be controlled due to the imperfect fault safety countermeasure procedure of the IEB motor control logic, which may cause multiple warning lights on the instrument panel of the vehicle and the brake pedal hardening phenomenon, resulting in the decrease of braking force of the vehicle, resulting in potential safety hazard.

Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors Co., Ltd. will upgrade the IEB motor control logic program free of charge for vehicles within the recall scope to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency response method: Before vehicle recall and maintenance, if the user finds that multiple warning lights on the instrument panel are lit when parking or driving, he/she shall park the vehicle in the roadside safety area and call the customer service hotline: 400-799-0000 to wait for rescue.
