On January 21, SAIC-Volkswagen brand-new model ID.4 X was officially launched, with a total of five models, with a subsidised price range of 199888-272888 yuan. The new car is based on the Volkswagen MEB platform and is the first ID introduced by SAIC Volkswagen. Series of models, and FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROSS as sister models.

From the appearance of the new car, the SAIC Volkswagen ID.4 X front face with a compact SUV adopts a closed design, and the LED light belt connects the headlight groups on both sides, coupled with a honeycomb lower grille, the overall design looks relatively simple. The interior design of Volkswagen ID.4 X is completely different from Volkswagen models at the present stage, which is mainly composed of straight lines and corners, and the overall design is relatively simple. At the same time, the new car uses a 5.3-inch LCD dashboard and a 12-inch central control screen (10 inches in the low version), which makes a sharp contrast in size and a hint of novelty.

In terms of power, the new car provides a single-motor rear-drive version and a dual-motor four-wheel drive version, in which the rear-drive version has motor power of 150kW with a peak torque of 310N ·m, while the four-wheel drive version has a new front motor with maximum power of 80kw and 150kw, and peak torque of 162N ·m and 310N ·m, respectively. In terms of mileage, the new car offers three options: 402km, 520km and 555km.

As a sister model, FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ has previously started pre-sale, and the new car has also launched five models with a subsidized price range of 19.99-279900 yuan. In terms of power, the new car also provides two power versions, the maximum power of the two-wheel drive version is 150kW, the peak torque is 310N ·m, and the maximum power of the four-wheel drive version is 226kW and the peak torque is 460N ·m.

As Volkswagen's first pure electric SUV, FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ and SAIC-Volkswagen ID.4 X are sister models to each other. The two models have little change in appearance and design, and there are some differences in some parts. Judging from the pricing of the two models, Volkswagen's first pure electric SUV will mark Tesla Model 3, BYD Song PLUS EV, Guangzhou Automobile Eian LX and other models.

In particular, Tesla, as the top seller of domestic new energy vehicles, Volkswagen has regarded it as the strongest competitor. Volkswagen CEO even shouted Tesla CEO every other time.
