GAC Honda version of the Civic seems to have made new progress. According to media reports, the new generation of Guangzhou Automobile Honda version of Civic may be named "Integra", and the new car will be officially put into production by the end of 2021 or early 2022 at the earliest.

Honda Integra is not a brand new product name, like Honda LIFE, it also has a long history. It is understood that in the 1980s, Honda launched a car called "Quint" series, but because this car does not have any sports performance, all aspects of performance is mediocre, resulting in very poor sales, Honda felt it was a pity to stop production of the Quint, so it was changed to Integra.

The first generation of Integra, whose full name is Quint Integra, is equipped with 1.5L and 1.6L engines and uses the Acura logo. After listing, it is highly sought after by the market. The second generation of Integra uses B16A, B17A1, B18A1 three kinds of power, its strong power also makes a lot of consumers amazing. The third-generation Integra can be said to be the pinnacle of the car series, with the logo of TYPE R, which is also considered to be the most classic generation of models. The fourth-generation Integra became the last generation of other models in the series, and Honda finally announced that it would stop selling the Integra as the sedan market shrank.

From the history of the development of Integra, it is of self-evident significance to the development of Honda. If Honda uses Integra as the name of Guangzhou Auto Honda version of Civic, it not only pays homage to the classic, but also shows the importance of this car to Honda.

According to previous reports, the Guangzhou Auto Honda plant has begun to introduce equipment and other adaptive modifications to the new Civic "sister version" model codenamed 2LN, and the new car will be put into production by the end of 2021 or early 2022 at the earliest.

A brief review of the new generation of Civic. The eleventh generation Civic hatchback version uses a new design language, and the front face is more flat. Its front face uses a new intake grille and sharper headlights, with L-shaped LED daytime driving lights, and the shape of the front bumper will also change.

Honda's terminal sales in China were 1.627 million in 2020, up 4.7 per cent from a year earlier, according to data. Among them, Guangzhou Auto Honda had 806600 vehicles, up 5.4 per cent from the same period last year.
