According to the latest data from Automotive quality Network, the auto industry has counted the ten models with the largest number of complaints in the past month. According to the published list, the top 10 models with the most complaints are mainly from German and Japanese brands, and mainly focus on medium-sized cars and compact cars.

From the complaint list, the German brand entered the list by four models, all of which are Volkswagen brand models, of which Maiteng, Suiteng and Tuguan L occupy the top three positions. FAW-Volkswagen Maiteng and Suiteng had 122 and 116 complaints respectively in the first month, far ahead of other models. From the point of view of the complaints, they mainly focus on the two major parts of the gearbox and the engine, including abnormal noise of the engine, abnormal noise of the gearbox, sudden setbacks of the gearbox, failure of the gearbox slide box, and so on.

FAW-Volkswagen Tanyue also appears on the list. As a FAW-Volkswagen model, it also has the problems of abnormal engine noise, gearbox noise and frustration. As for SAIC Volkswagen Tuguan L, which ranks third, the main problems complained about are transmission computer board failure, transmission fault light, engine start and stop system failure, high engine fuel consumption, and so on.

Data show that in 2020, the sales of FAW-Volkswagen Maiteng, Suteng and Tanyue were 164700, 299800 and 168400 respectively, while SAIC-Volkswagen Tuguan L was 178600. It can be said that these four models are relatively eye-catching in both the car market and the SUV market. Generally speaking, the larger the volume, the higher the number of complaints, but the Volkswagen brand has become a clich é in major components such as gearboxes and engines.

In addition, there are four models from Japan, namely GAC Toyota Camry, Leiling and Dongfeng Nissan Teana and Xuanyi, which are also the best-selling models under various brands. Camry had 72 complaints in that month, and the main complaints were increased engine oil, oil leakage from the half shaft, oil leakage from ball cage covers, instrument cracks, and so on. Lei Ling complained 64 cases in that month, and the main complaints were transmission setbacks, abnormal gearbox noise, oil leakage of shock absorbers, abnormal noise of steering system, and so on. Data show that Camry and Leiling sold 185100 and 223400 vehicles respectively in 2020.

Dongfeng Nissan Teana and Xuanyi also appear on the list. The monthly complaint volume of Teana was 70, and the complaints mainly focused on intelligent system components, including vehicle interconnection failures, audio-visual system failures, and so on. The number of complaints in Xuanyi that month was 65, and many users complained that Xuanyi had abnormal transmission noise, abnormal noise in the center console, engine can not start, oil emulsification and so on, but the main problems focused on the old Xuanyi.

The other two models come from independent brands and French brands. Although the overall sales of Peugeot 408 is small, it also appears on the complaint list for many months, ranking fourth with 77 complaints in January. the main problems focus on four major problems: engine oil burning, engine fault lights, engine jitter and abnormal sound of wheel shock absorbers.

GAC MOTOR GS4 is the only self-branded model on the list, with cumulative sales of 126600 vehicles in 2020. The problems complained by users include engine oil leakage, abnormal noise of transmission, transmission setback and so on.

These are the 10 models with high complaints in January 2021. The list reveals some problems in product quality control and provides some reference value for consumers to buy cars to a certain extent. Of course, it should be noted that the models with high sales volume and large quantity are also more likely to be on the list, so the models on the list do not mean that the quality is poor, more importantly, they reflect the objective problems of the model, and manufacturers should also pay attention to it.
