AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/17 Report--

According to foreign media reports, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recently issued a defect recall report, announcing that it will recall 437000 vehicles in the United States, including Honda and Acura brand cars, fuel pump problems may cause the engine to stall.

Recall models:

Honda recalled a total of 437000 models including the 2016-2018 Honda Acura MDX, the 2015-2019 Honda Acura TLX V6 and the 2015-2017 Honda Accord V6.

Reasons for recall:

In the United States, the sodium particles in some gasoline will attach to the internal components of the fuel pump, thus reducing the performance of the fuel pump. In hot weather, this may limit the acceleration of the car or cause the engine to stall, thus increasing the risk of a collision.

Solution:

Honda will recall the cars, update the control software and, in some cases, replace the fuel pumps.

Honda also said it had not received any reports of car crashes or injuries due to problems with the car's fuel pump.
